  1. I wish you all the luck!! Prayers said!
  2. I had been out of work since September '08. I am a student at Chatt Tech and my professor recommended me for a job with a company that he deals with and I started last week. I do accounts payable/accounts receivable. New job seems to be great!! But I do agree, looking for a job is horrible!! I feel like I wasn't hired for the most part because I am on the far side of 40. Oh well, their loss!!
  3. I am a college football watching girl. I was in the hospital last year and my husband had to write down the Saturday schedule to bring to me to watch. Oh and by the way ROLL TIDE!!!!!!
  4. I have had Geico for over 15 years. They have been great. Never had any problems. There have been tickets and wrecks in my household and they have been great through that also. They even told me one time that if I let them run a credit check they might could lower my payment even more. I thought, oh sure you will, but low and behold it went down almost $50 a month.
  5. Just know that you can fall in love and still finish college. It will be 5 1/2 years before he marries you anyway, so why not finish. At 46 going back to school, you have to blow the dust off a little bit.
  6. I am not sure who your power is with, but I know that I round up every month so that they can help people that cannot pay their bill. I know that the pccomm community is more than willing to help. Let us know what is needed. Also it may help to do the Georgia Work Ready program. I am not sure what the website is. So many places now want people that have been through the program. I know Greystone was hiring, but only wanted people that had been through the program. I pray that God will bless your family and will hold your husband in his arms right now. He knows your needs!!
  7. Just know that you have done the right thing. I promise, she will come back around looking for a handout for the "kids". Just keep your guard up. Anyone who uses their children as some type of collateral in a relationship, has serious issues in many areas of their life. Just pray that the Lord will watch over and protect those precious children from her mistakes.
  8. Wow that was a nice home. I am so sorry that this happened. My home was struck by lightning last year. Luckily it did not catch on fire, but we lost 2 computers, phones, 2 DVD players and a big screen tv. It was pretty scary because we were at home when it happened. It hit a tree in our neighbors yard ran along our yard and into our house. I hope that this family will be o.k. Our old neighborhood our neighbors set their house on fire and it sat there burned for over a year while it was being investigated. The Dad finally went to jail.
  9. I think that the same thing happened at Birdie's in Hiram last night.
  10. Well, we never have been the kind to run up charge cards, so I do not have a problem there. I lost my job in September and have yet to find another job. We don't eat out as much, I have cut down on the amount of groceries that I buy, we second guess all purchases that we make, and we are more aware of utilities also. This time has been tough, but learning to not care what anybody else thinks of where I live or what I drive has been a huge thing for me. Like me for who I am, not for what I have. We are very, very blessed!!
