OK I tried 'lowrider's advise and finally downloaded pics. First shot is looking down at roots and looks like a giraffe. 2nd shot it looks like a wolf and bottom is looking from root side.

  3. Picked up this driftwood years ago in Edisto Beach, S. C. I had cut the top off and left the root section. It has been stored down in the basement. Got it out and sprayed it with water to get off dust.

Photo 1 is set with the roots upward. The second photo is with the driftwood as if looking toward the roots from the bottom and it looks like a giraffe. The third photo has the driftwood turned sideways and it looks like a wolf. You can see on the left where I had cut the top off.

  4. My neighbor called in a panic because a snake came up to their front door and was looking through the side light glass like it was trying to get in. Their door is one step up off the walk. When I went to check the snake had moved into the bushes next to the door. When it stuck it's head out headed to the next bush I nailed it. It was a rat sanke over 5 feet long. Their house is next to a wooded lot which separates ours. we haven't seen any snakes. They have two dogs which were inside at the time. They have no fence. We have a stockade fence and our dog is constantly chasing chipmonks to no avail.

  5. Chinese restaurants are like Mexican restaurants. They all seem to taste the same no matter where you eat. The same wholesaler supplies the food. Pappasideaux (sp?) off Windy Hill has a different menu than standard Mexican. Don't know of a Chinese that is diffrent.

  6. When we first moved to Dallas over 10 years ago, we rode through the Dallas cemetary on Hwy 61. We had our dog in the car. She went ballistic and started barking and yelping out the window as if someone was right outside. We looked and there was no one around anywhere. Someone said dogs are'n t aloowed in cemetaries.

  7. I have a neighbor who lets her dogs out to roam the neighborhood and mostly relieve themselves in my yard. I have talked to her but she doesn't care. I put out granular repellant and sprayed repellant but gets costly becuase it has to be replaced after a rain. Someone said put out cayenne pepper. Can't shoot them with bb-gun. Can't stand out there all day and chase them off. Thought about gathering in a box and mailing it to owners but could be fined for health violation. Also thought about gathering in paper bag, place on their door step and lightting on fire (old halloween trick to bad/mean neighbors). If I call animal control, by the time they arrive dogs will be put inside. Any suggestions?

  8. I almost always open the door for my wife. Car, house, restaurant, whatever..

If in public and someone is coming up behind me or at the same time, I generally will do the same for others as well.

    Simple common courtesy.

..and yes, I say "yes ma'am", "no, ma'am" , "yes sir", and "no sir" to my elders.... know them or not.

    Again, simple courtesy.

Same here. I open the door for my wife most of the time except when she uses her fob to get in the car before I can. Guess it was how I was raised. Always treat a women like a lady no matter who she is but especially my wife. Maybe that's why I get a great breakfast on the weekends. Heck, I even buy her flowers for no reason.

  9. Do I win arguments? Hah My husband says he can't figure out how I do it. In almost ten years, he's only gotten me twice. But I was exhausted both times! When I was a child, my father told me I could argue with a brick wall. Yeah, I'm argumentative alright. Where is C0ACH?

If you have ever been on a soccer field for two hours four days a week believe me it's is a job. A rewarding job most of the time.

Heck, you said you wanted to be an attorney and that's not a job. It's a curse.

  10. It didn't receive pay but I loved coaching youth soccer. I understand the club soccer coaches get paid now. I coached under 12 and under 19 classic/traveling teams and even junior high when I lived in SC. Even played mens rec league and ref'ed. Best time and team was younger under 12 group. 15 different personalities but a great bunch of kids. They caught on quicker than under 19. Took under 16 classic/traveling team to southeast regionals in Memphis, Tn and under 19 to Houston, Texas. My older som was on the team and later played at Presbyterian college. Coacjhng any youth sport is very rewarding.

  11. Now this post is telling it like it is, Come out and tell us some things that Glen has done for the Citizens of Paulding County?

I was at the BOC meeting Tuesday and a Citizen asked Why the County Commissioners Had placed Glen Richardson on RETAINER at a cost of $72,000 per year. Is this Ethical????

What does he do for the Citizens of Paulding County to be paid this kind of mney???

Hear! Hear! I totally agree. Glenn seems to have the same arrogance and pompous attitude as Jerry. Do you think the BOC (all of them) will vote to eliminate the $72,000 from the budget? Absolutely NOT! They are all either too locked into the system or don't have the nerve to stand up to the Jerrites.

  12. They always have a lot of openings but you have to be experienced. It's not like the days of the C-5 where they took you off the streets and trained you. I used to work there as an hourly and in salaried positions. In todays work environment they want experience. They usually allow the hourly to upgrade to the posted openings per the labor contract. Then they recall people who have been on layoff also per the labor contract. Then outside hire with experience. Some hourly worked for the airlines as mechanics and are picked up first. Salary openings a lot of the time are posted for someone in-house to upgrade. Otherwise they want people with a college degree or years of experience. It's not that easy getting hired there anymore.

  13. The way this thread is going you would expect the other shoe to fall about Glenn. Personally I don't really care about his divorce but others think he is hiding some great secret he doesn't want us to know. I do think it was wrong the way he handled it which is why some think he is hiding something. Maybe he is, maybe not.

  14. But the clock is ticking timewise for a write in candidate.

I agree with you whole-heartedly Feelip, I believe after the sound thumping the incumbant chairdude was given last week, a similar fate could be expected for valid opposition to Richardson.

Like Shearin, Richardson will only be able to run on his checkbook. He will not be able to run on his record of what he has done for Paulding, only what he has done for the Paulding ROBBER BARON MEGA DEVELOPERS and their buds.

Is there a qualified candidate out there who would be willing to throw their hat in the ring as a write in long shot against Richardson ?

If they lose, they will still garner support and name recognition for the future.

If they win, they will have an instant political career as the wild card who defeated Richardson and returned Paulding county to the voters.

They need to reside in Richardson's district, have a desire to get involved in state politics, and have some thick skin to ward off the buckets of mud.

    Anyone out there interested ?

Someone should run against Glenn as a Southern Democrat stressing conservative viewpoints, open government and looking after the people in his district. They should have no hard line attachments to any group or party. This person could possibly win if other "thing" surface about Glann.

  15. And some things should be handled like a man.

I don't care who he (or anyone else) chooses to have a fling with. Just don't use my money to pay for it. And don't dare get caught trying to be sneaky about it.

Glenn had the opportunity to man-up and save his family the embarrassment but he chose to try to hide so that he didn't lose his office and power. If he doesn't care any more than that for his family I damn sure don't want him making "family value" decisions that concern my family.

    He should resign.

Where you as adament about Bill Clinton's fling with Monica in the oval office? At least he didn't have in in the State House chambers. I'm not defending Richardson but your remarks seem to be a lttle democratic party agenda.
