Could the closing be caused by the location? Several businesses have been at the same location but failed. Where a resturant is located is like kisses..............location, location, location.

Someone could spearhead a sit in on the square and everyone bring lawn chairs and a lunch. Anyone have enough talent to play the guitar? We could have a sing in. Is there an ordinance that says you can't have lawn chairs in the square? People do it for the Christmas parade and don't get a ticket. I've seen people eating lunch in the square. We could carry a sign in support of Bandidos.
Like I said on an early thread on the same subject, some old fars in Dallas don't want to change or have progress come to Dallas and Austin won't stand up to them. Maybe Bandidos should change their name to Bubba-Jims or Billy-Bobs and there wouldn't be anything said about the tables. Of course they would have to serve chicken livers and chitlins.

You must be talking about one of the re-enactments. They portray the way both south and north talked and believed back during the war of northern aggression. It is taken from diaries, written letters both south and north and other documents.
There is a civil war living history this weekend at New Hope next to the New Hope Baptist Church. I employ you to go see how the soldiers lived during the war. talk to the re-enactors about the South and the war. It will enlighten you.

I am amazed no one has offered the Southern definitions for various degrees of Northerners in this Topic:
A Yankee comes from the North to the South to visit, and then goes home.
A Damn Yanke comes from the North to the South to visit, and stays.
A God-Damn Yankee comes from the North to the South to visit, stays, and sends for all their relatives to come South as well.

That's the best response on this thread. If any of you on this thread, Southern or yankee, have the time I can give you a brief history of the South and the war of northen agrression. It was about states rights. How many rights do you are the states have.................NONE. It is now run by a centralized controlling government that believes we, South and North are too stupid to make decisions.
We in the South welcome you GD yankees but we resent you telling how it was done up north and we ahould change. I-95 goes both ways. Have you ever heard anyone retire to the north?
I love the South so much I named my yellow lab "Bill's Confederate Scout".

I don't try to kill threads but love to stir the pot to get people thinking. Some times I will make a comment just to see which way it will go. It makes people do two things. Either show their real feelings or stop and think how stupid their comments can be. Then again some of us are just agitators.

I have learned alot over the years with paulding county child support..
My husband had two different cases..two children...from two differenct women..(won't go there) but I would send the payment in form of two checks with only the case number on them..I be dang if they still didn't divide them up how they wanted to..would pay one more then the other and vice versa..then he gets called into court because he is not paying child support like he is suppose to..I am a very good record keeper..we won....but the attorney fee's was not so great and it could of all be done right the first time...

Got to tell you a personal story. Years ago, and I mean years ago, when child support was logged/recorded by hand (before they put them on computers...........I told you it was years ago) I paid cash in person and got receipt. Three weeks later I was picked up from work and taken before the judge for non-payment. I showed the judge my receipt. He asked the clerk if she knew anything about the case and she said there were lots of complaints on my file. (I always paid a week before due and NEVER late). The judge told her to get the files and payments. When he reviewed files he found out my ex not only had receievd the check but had cashed it. He then asked the clerk if she knew what happened and she (idiot) said sorry judge I don't anything about the case. Judge told me if I ever showed up in his court again I would spend 30 days in jail. I told him it wasn't my fault but his clerks that screwed up. He told me to "get the hell out of my court". Payback was two years later the judge was caught drunk driving with his girlfriend (same clerk) and she was half naked. He was removed from bench, she was fired and the judge now pays child support. Payback is sweet.

Hire a lawyer and see what he says about you getting the bill hired by your builder to fix your house. Usually they will answer your question on the first visit at no cost for consulation. You will have to pay for him to write a letter. Make sure the roofer is copied. The lawyer can find out the builders finances. I would fight it in court but DO NOT DO IT IN PAULDING MAGISTRATES COURT WITHOUT A LAWYER. Do NOT let the magistrate settle it. Ask for a jury. Past experience in magistrates court without a lawyer where we lost our breeding dog. You can always put a lein on the builders property but you have to renew it every year.
Hire a lawyer..........take him to court..........let others know who the builder is to keep him from doing it to others.

I've heard on the news the suspect was a white male but never a black. Why not say the suspect has a dark complexion of African dissent or a yellowish complexion with slanted eyes of Asian dissent or dark complexion and speaks Spanish. What have we become? I don't care if it hurts someones feelings. Catch and lock up the idiots.

If there is a chance that the airport won't bring businesses to the complex and it may be idle for a while there are several ways to make money off the runway & complex.
1. Open it for a dragstrip. Look at other places that have the NHRA dragstrips and see how much money they bring in. Lots. It's out far enough to not worry about the noise. Vendors could set up to sell food and car related items. And we could change 278 to "Dragstrip Hwy" since the "progressives" have changed Dragstrip to East Paulding.
2. Have Ringling or other circuses set up the the big tops and or have a fair. Loads of parking.
3. Have a spring or fall festival like Paulding Meadows.
4. Use the runway for a 5K or whatever the length run. Do this in conjunction with a festival.
5. Use the runway for a "Southeast Runway Garage Sale". Look at the publicity. In hard times we would be seen nationally as finding a way to get over the recession. Here again vendors set up.
Has the airport been named? It could be called "Jerry's Folly Airport".
Surely we have people in our Paulding government that have innovative ideas.

Republican Ragsdale? He acts more like a Tax and Spend Democrat! Ragsdale never met a Tax Hike he didn't like!
The problem with Ragsdale is he doesn't vote on behalf on the people in his district.
We shouldn't make him serve any more, that would be cruel for us to do to him. We need to allow him to retire.
Remember, when you go to the polls, think about the amount your taxes have gone up in 8 years and remember Ragsdale voted for every one of them.
Please remeber that the "new" Republicans were once Democraps. They just changed parties so they could get elected along with the Reagan Republicans. Watch how fast they change back to Democraps if the socialist Pbama is elected. They will sing to his tune like they have been brothers for years. But us "SOUTHERN" Democarts know who you are.

There are a lot of intelligent minorities (black, aisian, hispanics) who work hard and want their children to suceed and to grow up to be responsible. But you also have to understand that there are some black, white, asian and hispanics that don't really care about being responsible and would steal your shirt off your back. I black friend I worked with told me his dad told him you don't have to be black to be a "N......". I agree. However, please be prepared to protect your family after the election. If Obama looses there will be hell to pay with burning and looting in certain parts of the country. If he wins there probably will be the same thing happening but not as bad. Like I said, there are just some people that look for an excuse to destroy and breed hate. Be afraid. Be very afraid but ready.

If a restaurant does not have one of these on tap, he normally will not buy a beer. If he is in a drinking mood, he sometimes will leave and go where he knows they have it.
Now there's a man who knows good beer. I like Killian's and my wife likes Amber Bock. She will drink Killian's if it is tap.
Nothing like a good brew after cutting the grass on a hot day. My wife keeps telling me to quit cutting the grass twice in one day.

Especially smile at older citizens and say hello. One day you will be an senior (if not already) citizen. There is a song by Bette Midler called "Hello In There" about saying hello to older people and their lonely lives. It's sad but true how they are ignored in society.

My apologies. I was just kidding. Two years ago I saved a chipmonk being "played" with by the next door neighbor's cat. Helped in get to bushes on other side of fence and then chased the cat off. Maybe it is one of the chipmonks hanging around my yard.

I agree. If they are driving badly (is that a word?) I don't flash EXCEPT IN COBB COUNTY. They have their quotas to meet and they are not too friendly especially to the younger set (not necessarily teens). I haven't met any sheriff's deputies in Paulding that are rude. They respect drivers but if you are doing something illegal, watch out. They don't put up with misbehavior of any kind.
