  2. Wow! When we called about something it took days and days to get a response and this was about a road hazard that could have been potentially harmful as it almost was to me and my family. I kept being told I would get a call but I never did. I'm glad your situation is well on its way to being resolved.

  3. I watched Extreme Makeover Home Edition Sunday night too and what she said hit me too. My hubby and I looked at each other like whoa! I think the emotion of the show drew a lot of folks in and I hope many people caught what she said and it is the beginning of a change in their lives. Maybe if people were concerned more about the way they are living instead of being in everyone's business we would have more peace.

  4. garlic sticks to some people real bad. I love using fresh garlic. I am never too far from my garlic press in the kitchen. If there is something out there that helps prevent the odor coming out of someones pores or from lingering on their breath like it is stuck in their stomach I gotta know.

I use Real Salt. It is the best salt without additives and such. I use it in my homemade bread and there is such a difference from idodized table salt.

Seriously? Wow I never would have attempted those. I associate Old Bay with fish because that was what I grew up using it on. Well more specifically Blue Claw Crab. Thank you for sharing O'sfan

  6. From what I understand it's often recommended that you have a set amount withdrawn from your check first before you see the money and set it aside in a separate account to save. Then, you do whatever it takes to live on the rest...

We do. Savings and bills come out before I see anything. The rest I have to live off and it ain't much.

  7. My hubby listens to Dave as well and has for years been in my ear regurgitating everything that man says. I have not gone quietly for sure but I have finally surrendered. I am on a budget which isn't working out well for me at all and I am trying to make it work but what the heck am I supposed to do? What if we want to go visit the grandparents which take about 1/2 weeks worth of gas? Sorry Grandma it's not in the budget? I have run into problems with all my categories in my budget. But I have to say I look forward to being debt free in 3 years.

  8. Wow I must be way under the household income that you folks are. If I have to tip more than 5 bucks I guess I better wait til I have more money saved up. I guess I need a new thread: where can you go to get a good haircut cheap? ;)

  9. so how do you know if your hair dresser is getting 100% profit? I am wondering if the hairdressers at say Evan Blake Salon or Kelley and Company get a bigger tip than the Fantastic Sam's or Great Clips ladies.

  10. How much do you tip your hairdresser if you feel they have done a good job? Does how much the cost of the hair cut play any part on your decision or what services were performed such as wash, blow dry, and style?

  11. We purchased a nice pillow top bed after sleeping on a mattress on the floor for 10 years. It was a Cal King and hard to purchase sheets for. We had to special order them from JcPenny's. We love our new mattress.

We tried out the Sleep Number bed for a week when we went to Disney last year. The Radisson hotels have them and it was all I needed to decide we did not want one of those. We were stoked thinking we would sleep on a wonderful bed while on vacation. Boy were we disappointed!
