  1. Hey Mark

Ouch! Well I hope you get a good doctor like Alston did when he broke his arm. I think I redearched and found a great sight that shows factures at different points in the arm. I'll see if I can find it. In any case, get plenty of rest and ibuprofen. Hey are you going to be in PL on Sunday? I hope the kids tak eit easy on you :)

  5. I'm 5'10, I weigh about 140 and I thought I was in pretty good shape...um, NOT. I just had my first pilates/yoga class last week and I'm still sore today, not too bad, but enough to know that it's working. I'm 32 and didn't realize there are muscles I haven't used in ages....I know where they are now! I just have to say that it was so low impact, so relaxing and refreshing! I can't wait to go back!! Does anyone else do pilates/yoga?? I know you do *u know who* :) so nice to finally meet you!

Whoa for a second I had to check the OP becuase that is my height, wieght, and age and exactly how I felt after my first Pilates expeciance! I did a class at Powerhouse months ago and I felt it the next day. I sweated more doing that than anything else I did that day. I wish I had the time to go to a facility and since I don't I am doing it at home with a dvd. Not the same but it's something.

  6. if you do a google search for 278 movies you can find a link to the theater and more information about the free movie days and canned goods.

This year is a big improvement from last year. Last year one day instead of the two (Tues & Thurs). Last year they only had I think 6 theaters- 2 different movies this year 5 (so far) of just 1 which I think is much smarter. Last year they let people in at 9:30 which was not nearly enough time to find seats and stand in line for popcorn and drinks. I think this year they are letting people in earlier. (making an assumption here as I pulled up at 9:30 and there was not a line filing in the doors) The down fall is this year the cups for soda are much smaller. :glare:

I would highly suggest that on either day coming as early as possible. The line is ginormous but you'll be happy when you have a seat.

Two things that really annoy me about this day and this is purely my opinion -_- ...parents that have small children should put one on their lap. I felt horrible for the mom who had to break up her 4 children so they could see the movie. Move in people and put little ones on your lap! They will probably see better and be more comfortable. An for crying out loud turn off your cell phones!!!!!

see you next week at the movies :D

  7. I inadvertantly opened the email before I heard about it. I got an email from a friend who warned me but by then it was too late.

I installed AdAware and everytime I launch it the virus shutdown my computer. I can't download anyother spyware removal programs because it won't let me go to the sites. Can someone please help me?

  8. Hey folks if you haven't been to the Dallas Farmer's market, be sure to check it out this week. Silver Queen corn goes fast as do the tomatoes. :D

The market is located in the courthouse parking lot and opens at 7 am and runs till noon or when vendors sell out. The vendors are made up of local growers and peddlers.

Be sure to get there early! The last two weeks I have sold out by 9 and each time I have a rush at 7.

    See you there! ;)

  9. The market opens at 7 am and runs til 12 or when the vendors sell out which ever comes first. I went home at 9 am but I could have left earlier as I sold out after an hour, but I love to meet new people so I hung around awhile.

If you want to sell produce, plants or what have you please contact Susan Breen. She coordinates the market.

    Her number is 770.443.4349

Looking forward to Silver Queen to arrive next week!

  10. My children came running to tell me that our neighbor stopped and said that an ambulance had just came for Mr. Walraven. We live down the road and Mr. Walraven would come and plow our garden in his trusty ole tractor. He'd never ask for anything for it but we always sent him home with some fresh baked bread or a few dollars for his time and gas. He was kind to let my husband fish in his pond occasionally. Years ago we enjoyed a few summer holidays at the pond swimming.

Mr. Walraven, though I did not know him personally will be missed by our family. Our prayers go out to his family, Vernon and the rest of the kin folk.

  11. I saw it with a friend when it came out. In picking a movie I explained to her my famliy's rule about no R rated movies. Well I guess PG-3 has to go after seeing Jack's butt and Dianne's tatas. I have to say I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. Very funny movie.

  12. OK I am officially bummed! The squirrels ate all my peaches  Have you ever had that problem? I might even snag some figs for dear hubby who loves them. I'm good on blueberries. Ours are just days away from picking.

Please add me to your list.

  13. Our famliy spent a week up there just last year. We hit the Aquarium, the Children's Discovery Museum, and the IMAX Theater. If you go to the visitor's center you can buy package deals at a discount. Ask someone to give you directions to Walnut St Bridge. We would park there each day and walk across to save money on parking, plus it is a beautiful walk arcoss the river. The money we saved was lunch at Cheeburger Cheeburger on Market St. Also, there is a water park thingy that the kids can play in that is free. Kinda like Centennial Park where the water shoots out and up. There is also a beautiful carousal. We also went to Raccoon Mountain where you can take a tour of the cave and pan for gems. You can check out the Chatt visitor's web site for more info.

  14. Yeah the playgrounds are great but the bathrooms are nasty. Don't even think about using the ones at Sara Babb. My boys had ball there this spring and if my kids had to go, the boys went in the woods and my poor daughter had to cross her legs while we dashed home.

  15. Thanks to all for the birthday wishes. :D If I had known that it would show how old I was I would have never added it. I thought it would be harmless enough....there should be a disclaimer!!!! :o

markdavd~ {sigh} it's true. momma said no presents and no gifts all I want is for him to respect and listen. Well as you saw you can't even bribe him to do that on his momma's special day. Boys....why didn't someone warn me ? <_<

  16. I have been lurking for a few days but I have been forced out. I'm sitting here laughing so hard my kids must think I have finally lost it! I was taught the "stance" and have taught it to my daughter. What cracks me up is when I do go to the rest room with a friend and her daughter, I can tell they don't know the proper procedures. You don't hear the several long sheets of paper being rolled off and torn to be laid out for the child. Then the rest of the day I just feel pity for the poor little girl with the nasty germs on her butt. Which leaves me with the question...would you tell your friend and risk her being offended and embarrassed or have you think your a nut case, or just pray for em'?

In any case I am enjoying pcom and I like finally knowing what is going on around here.
