Now that my kids are older and their gifts include $60 games and Coach Purses. I give them a money amount and let them know....you can have 1 gift or 20....but you only have X amount to work with. We go shopping together. They are 21, 17, 16, and 13. This works very well in my home. When I was a single mom, the welfare to work program did something very similar to this. I am not certain if it "helped" me get my 1st job in the steel industry, but due to that job, I was able to work my way up the Corp. Domestic Violence is a serious crime, and the police should and by law have to investigate any claims; regardless, if they came from Woods himself or from TMZ. It does not matter if it is on private property or the moon, DV is a crime. A crime not only against the victim (male or female), but a crime against society as it costs countless millions each year and thousands of lives. It effects every sector from law enforcement (cost and the human toll) to health care (1 in 5 women in the ER are there for injuries due to DV) to the private sector.
