Was the last part of this ... you know where you said 'almost as stupid as getting your "science" from a politician ... a Freudian slip????? or just an admission. pubby

Yes. It is pretty consistent with what I've said about these guys over the years, isn't it. pubby

This is a culturally important scream that is packed full of symbolism. This bit from the young turks helps explain a part of it. Notably, the hosts here ignore completely the references to money in the lyrics. pubby

Actually, I've got a great deal of respect for Melania. I recognize the monumental patience she exhibits and further recognize and appreciate her loyalty all the while separating herself from the big embarrassment. On the brochure, that was updated. More importantly, I recognize that imitation is the finest form of flattery. As to GD's absurd post; the only person I don't see getting any these days is Trump; unless of course he's got a harem of porn stars on the side. Or wait, do you think he has interns in the White House? pubby

It's Going To Be Scary But We Will Survive. (High Technology)
gpatt0n replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The issue that ought to concern us all about the future, climate change is a factor your video ignored TP. Viewing this video reviewing Al Gore's sequel to Inconvenient Truth shows us all the dire consequences we will all face because of the political power of the fossil fuel industry and its hijacking of our government through its willing participant, Donald Trump. While I've watched the entire movie and encourage everyone to view it in its entirety, this review points dramatically to at least one of the inevitable social consequences we may all face. Ironically, it presents the most l -
You are absolutely right. Sometime around November 1, 2015 the national media should have looked around and said, you know this guy is a joke (they actually did), is never consistent, totally self-centered and recognized that if they let him talk, they were totally complicit in the absurdity of letting someone who lies 75 percent of the time or more speak to a national audience on serious issues. They should have said, Donald, we don't want to hear your lies, go away. Literally just dismiss him. They didn't. Instead the media thought he was such a jokester that they gave him $2 billi

Can we hope that this latest 'story' of how $130,000 was sent to porn star Stormy Daniels in the weeks before the November 2016 election was okay because Trump had a standing 'setup' deal where he funneled sufficient funds from Trump through Micheal Cohen's "law office" effectively reimbursing him for his apparently multiple payouts. I am really impressed by the breadth of their story telling and fully predict if this rendition has a problem, they'll come up with yet another yarn. The benefit of this particular yarn that Giuliani concocted - can anyone really believe anything being sa

If Delta AL really wants to be anonymous, it ought to go out of business
gpatt0n replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
What don't people understand about the concept of freedom of speech. Why anyone would care he posted anything is beyond me. I mean this isn't facebook, that he appears doesn't mean you've or anyone 'liked' him. The issue I have with cutting his comments and the reason I don't is that I never wanted pcom to be a bubble. As I've said every time you've made this pitch ... get over it. pubby -

My anti capitalism efforts pale in respect to yours as demonstrated by your utterly negative efforts to put pcom in the ground. pubby ps: still here and you'll see. -
The only time I've ever heard of a business wanting to be anonymous is when it is doing something they're ashamed of. I mean, do they contribute to charity 'anonymously?' Do they advertise their services 'anonymously?' Do they ask for tax benefits at the state house, do they support civil rights or women's rights or even their hesitation with over providing NRA members discounts (or not) anonymously? I am really challenged to think of one thing, other than buying politicians, that they would want to do anonymously. Now I'm not going to accuse them of 'buying politicians' in Atlanta'

Most men I know are negatively impacted by the mere thought of this kind of injury that knowing someone who suffered such a event would force their empathy to scab over. pubby

Good try but the first sentence was a reference to my first post that suggested that DNA data could be abused. Then Stonewall sought to frame it as the liberal/conservative position. Finally, I pointed out in the last line that being a liberal or conservative really has no bearing on the issue if DNA is used to identify and kill all members of an extended family as Donald Trump has recommended. I.e. you could have a terrorist second cousin and Trump would kill you in retaliation. What better way to determine who is family than by DNA? pubby PS: Obviously something is

It is really amazing how you folks seem to try and frame every issue as a liberal and conservative; almost as if you like every decision to be binary and based on you're right and everyone else is wrong tripe. For instance, if that were true, why would the management of ancestry.com go out of its way to send me (and everyone else on their email list) an email announcing that they will comply with the highly regulatory privacy rules and laws in effect in the European Union. I mean these folks are 'capitalists' yet they are aware there are issues with US law regarding the proliferation o

What is fascinating is how he was caught. It appears that someone in the man's extended family did one of the commercial DNA tests that found its way into a publicly available database. Since the authorities had DNA on the killer, someone in the investigation decided to do a search through this generic database and the search kicked back this somewhat distant relative. Authorities considered that a lead in the case and went about building a family tree to find what member(s) of that family had the opportunity to be the killer ... i.e. the right age, the right location. They then l

No, I was just thinking about a friend from decades ago who had a horrible injury at the hands of a combine - scraped him clean it did and he damn near died - and remembered the mantra; it was God's will as the explanation. And I was struck by the sadness of "Gods' will" to the notion, it's okay, we can fix that. pubby

Bill Cosby found guilty of three counts in sexual assault case

To which GD replied ... Showing that all good conservatives live so far in the past they have no concept of what is going on. Besides, DJT denies any association with Stormy Daniels ... at least until today when he was spewing on fox and friends and admitted that his fixer really didn't do much for him, except some things like that Stormy Daniel thing. Undercutting yet again Michael Cohen's efforts to protect his papers and effects from the scrutiny of prosecutors by claims of attorney-client privilege. Cohen is going to flip. LOL pubby -
Admitted, the chaplains prayer did tilt to the Democrats as delivered but the reason he was fired is that Ryan edited the prayer which Ryan thought was too long. Ryan's edited version is shown with his strike outs and make no mistake, the chaplain was canned because the prayer was just too long ... by a dozen words. When the speaker passed this along, he was heard to mutter "that's my story and I'm sticking to it." pubby

That appears to be 'current news' ... i.e. the story apparently aired on April 24th (last Tuesday) ... thanks for the link. I would assume there is are transcripts of the proceedings begging the question "Are the transcripts being edited?" Recording of proceedings and an expansion of the number of judges seem reasonable. The allowance of juries to determine custody is a tougher call as juries add an inordinate expense to a system that seem to be expensive enough. pubby

I guess since the days of my youth when I read the reaction of some to the Wright Brothers feat at Kitty Hawk ... "If it was Gods will that man fly, he'd have given him wings." ... Which explains the pin that most pilots get when they get their license - I mean 'wings'. pubby

Veteran receives penis and scrotum transplant in surgery doctors say is a medical first The miracles of modern medicine were apparently brought to bear to reverse what for eons was either the literal or figurative death of an injury that obviously proves that nerve damage is reversible in some amazing ways. Given the nature of the 'medical miracle' I'm surprised that there is no religious reaction. pubby

I have never seen you complain when the race of an individual is identified in a crime report. Heck, do you feel that LEO, every time they distribute a mug shot of an arrested person, is playing the race card? Having published thousands of crime reports, both with and without race identifications either in text (Two white males held up a liquor store) or with mug shots of perps (or drawings of suspects), I can say with certainty that I personally object to the designation of race in some - actually many - but not all cases. But that personal distaste is counter to the customary way that t

Killing Nazi's, In France, Was The Business My Father Was In

Gosh, if the DNC were an elephant or even its 'mascot' a donkey, I suppose it would be physically possible to occupy the space you assert, but the DNC, in the real world at least, is an institution and the last time I looked, institutions don't have butts. So, I can only surmise that you lost another argument and rather than admit it like a man, you attack me personally making some lame, baseless statement that defies logic but sounds good to your fellow neanderthals. pubby
