  1. Female Attacked on the Silver Comet Trail (Paulding County, GA) On July 29, 2014 at approximately 6:42 pm a bicyclist on the Silver Comet Trail noticed a white female lying on the side of the trail that appeared badly injured. The bicyclist called Paulding County E-911 to get assistance for the female who was going in and out of consciousness. Once emergency responders arrived on scene they stabilized the female so she could be air-lifted. The female victim, who is 42 years old, was flown via helicopter to Kennestone Hospital. Once Deputies and Detectives arrived they began assessing the crime
  2. I wouldn't have been annoyed. You know as well as I that every hypochondriac in the country is going to come in and demand that they be treated for ebola ... and the doctors really haven't got any understanding of the disease and it how to recognize it because it hasn't presented itself here at all. I know that is frustrating especially when you have an affliction that is continuing to cause you concerns, pain and suffering and yet seems to be largely ignored by doctors throughout the region. A key organizer like you LPPT, ought to be about finding ways to encourage those in the medi
  3. Aw heck folks, lay off Zorro ... he just trying to drop a race-bait from the back of his motor boat as he trolls along hoping that someone will call him on the obvious presentation of the so-called racially-charged stereotype he showed. So, since we know he is ready to retort to what he would consider an unrighteous racial response, let me say pre-emptively Zorro, I know you're not a 'racist' and further I know that your purpose was not to turn this into a topic about racism; rather it was an effort to capture someone while trolling through the site. pubby
  4. NJ: I checked Ms. Braddock's page and for a three term legislator, her issues page is really pretty sparse as well. I think there were several things about expanding the choices and liberties of folks anchored by the anti-choice stance on aboortzion (which kind of makes liberty and freedom a man-thing.) Ms. Braddock did point with pride to her role as the prime sponsor behind the state's effort to convene a constitutional convention, presumably for the purpose of passing a balanced budget amendment. Recognizing that there is a real concern about Article V constitutional conventions ... they
  5. Part of our national policy has been to guarantee the existence of Israel since its inception in 1948. That has not changed. What has changed is that the Israeli's are doing their best to occupy lands that the UN and the US have never agreed they have a right to populate and occupy. Further the idea that you can create a concentration camp in the Gaza Strip is also in direct contradiction to US policy and wishes. The actions of the Israeli's is close to that of a drunken teenager who is acting like a bully in the region and yes, the little kids (Palestinians) who gets their asses
  6. the support for the US group - the only vetted by the points of light foundation - was and is a pure humanitarian effort supported by a wide range of groups. The reason the issue was part of the presentation in the campaign documents was the rather tenuous ties coupled with the apriori knowledge that folks like you and others would latch on to the non-connection and make it a connection complete with IEDs and Hamas missiles (on the side) because you can't help but lie when you concoct distortions designed to mislead the average voter. I think the combination of distortion and fear mongeri
  7. I bet he is still receiving spam emails despite his plea. Those folks just don't have any respect. pubby
  8. And that is absolutely fine ... actually 'ducky' in my book. I certainly have the capacity to forgive one their trespasses but the act of suing for libel in an effort to intimidate someone (Like Richey was with Walker) I find not just stupid, but anti-democratic. pubby
  9. Apparently Rashad Richey, who is the alleged villain in this scene you're painting NJ, is long gone from the Georgia Democratic Party ... along with Mike Berlon, who also resigned under a cloud. However, the house is getting pretty much in order under the leadership of Debose Porter, who was actually my pick over Roy Barnes for governor in 2010 (and his lovely wife for Lt. Gov. ). As far as Andre, I'm sure he's been referred to as a RINO more than a few times given his stand in favor of gay marriage. But as far as Richey's effort to silence him with a libel suit for publishing his cri
  10. Before you accuse me whitey, you ought to stop by and look at the video clips. There was a short period after I ended the video from the camera pointed at the commissioners but you weren't in that frame. I cut it before it ended. The camera by the lectern didn't get as far as your appearance (and if you notice, the last video presented was from the camera I set up over by Mr. Carmichael and Mr. Pownall. Basically the camera by the lectern went dead while Ms. Pollard was still standing there. I did pull a third camera out of my bag to catch Mike Jones comments directed toward you
  11. Boy NJ, that was a triple-back flip landing on a high wire ... I hope you can avoid the tragedy of the Wallendas pubby
  12. Tundra ... I was rolling on the floor laughing my arse off at the notion of needing to buy Hiram, which is 13.4 miles from Silver Comet Field thinking that the Georgia Capitol is actually closer to the International Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson (and it is at 10.1 miles.) Then I had a sobering thought ... that they weren't talking about the airport buying it; they were talking about Delta and what they were talking about was the politicians ... and so, yes, they'd need to buy Hiram's politicians because they aren't much farther from the airport than were the politicians under the Gold Dom
  13. Maybe you can help with the excuses because I know that you've been able to do whatever contortions you had to inorder to vote for Paulette, which would just about qualify you (and the majority of Republicans in District 19) as performers at circ dus soleil. pubby
  14. The difference I saw was - especially for KV considering his distance from the airport is about the same as the Gold Dome is from Hartsfield - nothing as invasive as a rattling teacup while several of the other folks, waiting for an opportunity to speak, spoke powerfully of the travesty - the life and death travesty - being played out at Animal Control every day and every week. I would have been much more inclined to listen to those citizens concerns. pubby KV's share, at one-tenth of one percent of his advalorum taxes was somewhere between under $20; possibly at one-tenth of one perc
  15. NJ: I'm sure they will. I think Ms. Fuller hints at her checkered past in her bio on her site: The publisher, Tate of Mustang OK, says they are a Christian publisher: Since Tate publishing wasn't established until 2010, I'm pretty sure the book Ms. Fuller wrote was inspired by her travails and represents how she actually dealt with the challenges she had to confront with herself. I can't help but wonder, given the comparative flaws of the two candidates - Ms. Fuller and Ms. Braddock - whether the book might be the deciding factor in how much progress has been made along
  16. First, that is actually pretty flimsy 'evidence' tying Michelle Nunn to Hamas ... because she was president of the Points of Light Foundation started by the King of Saudia Arabia's Friend and former Republican President George Herman Walker Bush. Most Jews in Israel are not radical fundamentalist Zionist and tend to be upset and disturbed by the virtual concentration camp that is the Gaza Strip. If you had the interest or understanding to look beyond the fundamentalist Christian narrative that Jesus can only come soon if we make Israel a jewish theocracy that is so fundamental in its belie
  17. People speculate - a lot - about who they think are personalities here and I've got to say that rarely are they correct. I think the motivation to do so is based on the false notion that by saying that, they're perceived as being 'more knowing' than others and they think that increases their stature and credibility. I find that idea rather quaint, most of the time. But since there have been efforts surrounding Paulding.com to hurt people financially, sometimes I think of those making such speculations as a "Madame Defarge" type character (The woman who knitted while the guillotine lop
  18. It is called 'expectations' Tundra. The expectation is that a citizen would have a comment or a opinion to add, not launch a inquisition that sought information that was no one was prepared to provide on the spot. Recognizing that, to continue with the inquisition - Some of the questions also reminded me of first year algebra class where one student, who just didn't get it and, like a three-year old, asked why, why, why? His comments could have truncated to the fact that he was vehemently opposed to the Airport and wanted the county to not only defund the Airport Authority and the In
  19. Dang ... The activity is actually costing the restaurant a ton of money as the length of time that the average customer is seated is a limit on the capacity of the restaurant. By doubling the time from 1h 5 minutes to nearly 2 hours, the number of meals served is literally cut in half - especially since the time frame for each meal is somewhat limited. Here's the math for a restaurant with 50 tables seating four over a 6-10p dinner rush (four hours) At 2 hrs, the average stay, you can serve 800 meals at $25/meal and have a $20,000 night. At 1 hr being the average stay, you could ser
  20. while there is no accepted cure, it appears there are several things that can be done that can lower the death rate. Indeed, the strain Zaire-ebola that is the center of the current outbreak, used to kill 80-90 percent of those who contracted the virus. Current death rates are closer to 60 percent which, while bad, does point to the disease being survivable. Health care workers may be one of the reasons. Apparently if they are administered plasma from survivors - people who have developed immunity - the progress of the disease can be altered. Additionally, there are some treatments in trial
  21. Anyone can post the youtube videos that Roy Sparks produces. If you look at his camera, you'd see he has a great big battery. My batteries aren't are as large - at least on the cameras I use for the commission. IMO, it is silly to think I was intentionally working on Whitey ... and the only thing I'm upset with you about KV is that you didn't buy Patti a membership so she could advertise on pcom. pubby PS: I saw Patti at the Democratic meeting today and she told me that I should pass along that she will be running and says to all you guys that David Austin will certainly pr
  22. Soundguy: A couple of points. If you want to screen folks - all folks - coming into the country then you don't want them trying to avoid you. Hence, the policy of lining them up, berating them and throwing them into bad, crowded near inhumane situations would tend to make people avoid you and seek escape and underground infiltration. If on the other hand the undocumented are treated with compassion and respect, met with a nice cot and some good food, the effort in getting them to come through a queue that gives you the opportunity to treat the treatable and quarantine the dangerous
  23. I thought when I 'enlarged' the grill image that the emblem didn't look like a bowtie. Oh well, it looked fancier than I imagined Chevys of that period looked. Thanks for the clarification. pubby
  24. District 19 Candidate Sandra Fuller, rallied her supporters today as they prepared to canvass neighborhoods for their candidate. Ms. Fuller, an attorney, is one of several Democrats who hope that that party's decade-long drought on statewide offices will come to a close and lift local candidates with them. Ms. Fuller is facing two-term incumbent Paulette Braddock, R-19, who won the seat that has been drenched in controversy since the resignation of former Speaker Glenn Richardson. Ms. Fuller is hopeful that 2014 is 'the year' for a Democratic comeback as that party's US Senate candidate M
  25. Yes, but we spend tens of billions annually on expanded searches at airports when, if you get down to it, a hardened cabin door would prevent a recurrence of 911 ... yet hardening our electric grid etc. would allow us to avoid much of the pain of an event of this nature. I do have a question though. If the solar flare comes and hits us, would it impact the grid on both the 'sunny' side and the dark side ... the emission would last only a few minutes/hour because of the speed at which the particles (sub light speed by quite quick) pass by. It would seem that it would almost be like a coin
