http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-10-01/91-irs-has-been-furloughed-here-who-else-got-government-shut-down-axe For all the drama surrounding today's political drama (which came and went largely unnoticed by a stock market hypnotized by the Federal Reserve), the bottom line is that the key impact of last night's historic government shutdown has been nothing more (or less) than the temporary unpaid leave of absence, i.e. furloughs (with all accrued, owed payments promptly being remitted once the government is unhalted) of some 815,932 civilian government workers, out of a total of 2 million,

HEY, NO PROBLEMS HERE. I was wondering however... If the Government shut down why didn't Obamacare? http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/new-health-care-law-leaves-grady-45-million-short/nbCp8/ ATLANTA — In an ironic twist, Grady Memorial Hospital faces a $45 million funding loss directly related to a new health care law designed to benefit the hospital. The result could mean major cuts at Georgia's largest trauma center, according to Channel 2’s Lori Geary. Danielle Words is an uninsured hospital patient who uses Grady as a safety net because it cares for thousands of uninsure

I watch this program and see how dangerous it is for our troops to to go from point A to Point B without encountering an IED. The program shows the open poppy fields. I think the government needs to convert the tanks to giant lawn mowers and cut the poppy fields down and see what the Afghans do.

Well I am in Gwinnett now being born in Fulton growing up in Clayton, Forsyth, Cherokee, and Bartow and having lived in Paulding for a short time. The important thing to remember is that I am still posting on the forum and you are unable to thwart my plans for North Georgia domination. Paulding is pretty much the same all the way around.

What if facebook but a limit on political statements made. Yes, you are correct. It would shut down.

In this picture its hard to decide if Desoto is in Polk or Paulding but the county lines seem to change. Don't worry. When the affordable health care act is passed in October, that wont be a problem anymore.

I did not post the article as a flame. The Affordable Care act is already in the works so like the fiscal cliffs lets get ready to drive off it together.

http://www.gainesvilletimes.com/section/6/article/89090/ For those interested in checking out the exchange, specific plans and prices won’t be available until Oct. 1. However, information about what to expect is available through the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services site, www.cms.gov. Basically, insurance plans on the exchanges offer four levels of coverage: bronze, silver, gold and platinum. On average, bronze plans cover 60 percent of enrollees’ total costs; silver, 70 percent; gold, 80 percent; and platinum, 90 percent. In general, more comprehensive plans have

Of course this is when I was a kid but there was some wild muscadines growing off News Hope Road just below Payne Mobile Home park off Kellogg Creek right beside the road. I remember because some bats eat them. We would toss things up in the air and the bats would swoop towards them. It was fun having kamikaze bats dive bombing us and garbage falling on our heads. We figured out they were after the wild grapes and plums there.

What would happen if the government shut down?

I was thinking of Congress, The House and also on the State Level too. I am not talking about the folks who actually work for a living like Police, Ambulance, fire, and while we are at it the money we could save would allow these folks to be paid at a market rate. -
Honestly, I think we would be better off. How much money do you think we (America) could save if Congress and the House took some unpaid leave? Many Americans have too.

http://blogs.ajc.com/news-to-me/2013/09/20/study-welfare-often-pays-more-than-work/ Fortunately, in many states, welfare pays more than the 9-to-5 grind, according to a study by The Cato Institute. How much does welfare pay? It depends on where you live because welfare benefits are distributed at the state level. http://object.cato.org/sites/cato.org/files/pubs/pdf/the_work_versus_welfare_trade-off_2013_wp.pdf 42 Georgia 24,788 19,797 (4,991)
