  1. That's great! Hope they make it one of the big ones! Seriously, 61 will have to widened.
  2. I'm a delicate flower too but I don't mow lawns.....I mow pastures. Hubby works too many hours to be able to get everything done so I'm glad to help. And I always apologize.....when I'm wrong. Believe it or not, it happens sometimes.
  3. K. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
  4. People have told me that it's harder to back up because it doesn't immediately respond and if you are in the mountains, unless you get a perfectly level spot, getting the truck off the trailer can be a real issue. I know that a gooseneck is a lot easier than a bumper pull with horse trailers but that fifth wheel looks very different from a gooseneck so I was curious.
  5. Low, I remember when you posted these pictures. Sooo beautiful! I don't know if a road trip out west is in the cards for me but boy, is it pretty!
  6. I know that way too but I could not remember if it was all mountain roads so I thought I would play it safe and just go 85. Yeah, I left a good sum in that casino too! Boy has that place changed!
  7. The first trip was to Fairhope. That was also a great trip. Stayed in a park that had a lot of long term folks staying there. Mostly older folks. Ran into some business friends and went to dinner at a Mariott property that was very, very, very beautiful. Fairhope is lovely and the food was great. Mobile is also nice. I like to explore the small towns, that's a lot of fun, for me. It was hot through. Really hot. Second was St. Augustine, that's been my favorite so far. RV park was right on the beach! Dogs had a blast! St. Augustine rocks. Pulled in at 11 at night, by myself. T
  8. GFH.....like I said, the hitch is a bear so I'm curious about a fifth wheel. Easier?
  9. Low, that sounds like a very long trip. How long were you on the road?
  10. Low, I hear ya. I have to be honest, once I got home, I was slap wore out! I think the toughest thing, other than that GD hitch, is negotiating the traffic going through town on 85. Once you get on the open road, it's almost relaxing. I love my truck.......pulled like a champ.
  11. Thanks Dana, it was a good time. As far as me being able to handle things on my own, believe me, I had lots of help! RV'ers are always willing to help one another. It comes down to one very important thing. How bad do you want to go? Me? I want to go bad! So, you prepare as well as you can.....and just do it!
  12. Thanks N0206B! That's the ticket!
  13. Husband and I decided to pack it up and head out, this is my review of the experience Got the trailer hooked up last Wednesday morning and me and the dogs headed up to Cherokee, NC! Easy drive up there. Arrived at Flaming Arrow Campground about 3 in the afternoon. Nice, clean campground. Owner met me upon arrival and between me, her, her son and the her help guy we got me all set up. Hung out, cooked dinner and headed to the casino. Yeah, it kicked my butt! Relaxed with the dogs, they are such good eggs, and husband arrived Thursday night. Next day, we loaded up the dogs an
  14. I really wonder if got paid by the guardian. I would be amazed if he can tell China anything they don't know already. I may be wrong but I can't think that he had that type of clearance, I mean 80,000 other people have the same clearance as he had.
  15. Good to see you JLH! You'll remember.....it will all come back to you
  16. I have soooo seen that! Poor thing, didn't care one bit.
  17. I don't have kids but I believe I would take the girls call and very sternly tell her to quit calling my son every five seconds. I would also tell the girls Mom so that she would know how her daughter is acting.
  18. Thanks Tabby....I wrote myself a note to remind myself. I'm soooo relieved!
  19. I can't watch the video on this stupid iPad. I've been following and hoping with all my might for his recovery. I'll just have to wait till the computer is up again. From the sound of it, it looks like it's progress! I'm so happy for his Mom and Dad!
