  1. I agree that you see what is being cooked for you and that is a plus. The issue I have is that you get SO much cabbage or rice that the protein you ordered is lost. It is also really expensive for what you get, I mean really expensive. I was shocked at the price the last time I ate at a Japanese Steakhouse.
  2. Last couple of times I've been there, I thought they really stepped up their game. Sorry you had a bad experience.
  3. No. My take on the intent was to make people smile and to remind them how silly life can be.
  4. They did say that....and more. But I'm not telling you. Make it a point and just so you know, there smoked pork chops, regular pork chops, breakfast sausage, bacon are to die for. You will be fairly impressed with their prices.
  5. Shhhhhh, the walls have ears around here. Yup! Well then I'm not telling you about what they said about ..........
  6. Patak's rocks and the prices are THE BEST! But I'm not telling you where it is. So there
  7. I heard its going to be in Emerson as well. I also heard its going to be huge! Much, much more than just a bass pro shop.

    Coyote

A coyote on your porch? Ah, hell no!
  9. Not for nothing but if my water had been that bad for that long, someone would be giving me some answers.
  10. Hey Lucky......before I forget, there is always Barnsley Gardens! Rooms are great! You can even bring your dog, if you like. Very, very beautiful and gracious. The spa, and the facials are literally, the best. Close to home too.
  11. I've had the experience of traveling the "hill country" with a buddy that was from Austin. Austin is wonderful! And, while very, very, very hot, the scenery was very beautiful. Well, like I said, Husband still isn't able to be away from work, AKA.....he can't retire yet. That's just the way it is. I really can't see me leaving home for the amount of time it would take to drive to the west coast. That is a trip that will have to wait till he can retire. We are looking at going back to Italy this summer. A cruise that leaves from NY....to be honest, I'm parked till the f
  12. Don't ya just hate that? Looking forward to the food and being disappointed? I know I do. Do you do trip advisor? Can't remember being let down by them
  13. Yes, I've heard about lake burton for years. Evidently, there are some real nice areas there. I'll have to get with Good Sam and find out about rv campgrounds around there. I'm not doing without power and sewer in that travel trailer. Actually, that's a hell no. Everyone should have the ability to explore this region as well as this country. I've seen such sights! You forget sometimes to stop and just look. Just look. That came back to me on this Cherokee trip, the rivers, streams and creeks. Just beautiful. Life is good. Life is very good.
  14. I have to say that the Kroger coupons that they send you are great as are the gas station credits. But as far as the actual shopping experience and the quality, I have to go with Publix.
  15. Thanks guys, I'll keep that place in mind. I've heard Lake Burton is awesome! My only question is if it's named Moccasin Creek because of Water Moccasin's? Mei Lan, it's nothing special for me to do it on my own. So long as it doesn't exceed my strength, I believe I should be able to do it. When I was trail riding, there were many women, myself included, pulling rigs and taking care of their horses on their own. Again, it comes down to how bad you want to go. It's fairly amazing what a determined woman can get done. Besides its fun and is a shot in the arm for your confidence.
  16. mrnn, evidently snakes can climb flat, straight walls, I don't know how either. Spring times brings birds building nests in the rafters of barns. They lay the eggs and once the babies are born I have seen snakes up in the rafters in the nests getting the babies. Mom is flying around frantically but, like me, she can't do anything. I don't know jack about snakes and I'll be damned if I can identify the good ones, except the black ones, from the bad ones. All I can say I know is that copperheads look like they are grinning at you when they are looking at you. :shudder:
  17. Sorry, but WM grosses me out for the most part. The meat department smells like blood and the produce department? Yuck! The "clientele" I see makes me wonder what they would do to the produce that I'm thinking of buying. Ewwwwwww!
  18. It's called a swirl and is served just about everywhere that serves soft serve.
  19. Well, had a lot of hard rain....sprung a leak in the new roof. Here we go!
