  1. I got my information from an Air Life GA paramedic on Aug. 28.
  2. Why did you ask the question if you knew the answer?
  3. It is not new - just the evolution of Emory Flight, Rescue Air 1, and then a new parent, Life Force which is a large company owning many EMS service areas. The Air units are called Life Force - Georgia. I have not seen any ground units if that is what you are referring to.
  4. what caches in the area have you guys enjoyed? I really enjoy remote caches that involve a high terrain rating and have not been found in a while. There are a few historic caches in Paulding - check out GC569 and GC1F75. There are several great caches at Paulding Meadows.
  5. I am an active cache - Freebird65 is my name. I have a few caches in the NE corner of the county.
  6. whenever a chupacabra is mentioned, I always think of the old pcommer, chemmie.
  7. ich will normally look like white dots on the fish. I have see black dots on a Yellow tang (saltwater). If you google ich you will find all the info you can imagine. If it is ich, then poor water quality is probably causing stress of the fish and allowing the Ichthyophthirius parasite to attach the fish.
  8. how did you make out with your fish? I think I have one of my red plattys that is sick with dropsy. I am thinking I am going to euthanize her. She was raised as one of a batch of fry from a few years ago so my boys will be sad....
  9. I'll also add that Chairman Shearin, at the time it was put up on the ballot, advised that for many of us the "fire tax" would pay for itself by an improved ISO rating. So, let's give him some credit for that one.
  10. Distance from a fire station is only one aspect of the ISO rating. Many people have, for many years, been within 5 miles of fire station but the departments rating in those area has been at 6. Through staffing increases, new stations, equipment, and a lot of hard work by the fire department, some areas in the ISO 6 area had a decrease to 5. The ISO 9 area will never get any better until there is county water available in those areas.
  11. not knowing is probably better for your long term survival. If the black helo starts frequenting your home, then it is time to get lost (before you get lost.)
  12. Here is info on one of them that I have visited: http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMC1W_Brushy_Mountain_Tunnel There are many opinions on the current construction project - all rumors at this point. We did have a superintendent that spoke out and shared info on the project many years ago, but he has not bee around much. I wonder if he still alive. When I see higher than normal black helicopter activity, I know something is in the works. Things seem to have been quiet over the past months - at least in my sector.
  13. Mine is down 9% after a 9% or so drop in property value.
  14. I received a note from my recipient today. The man just celebrated his 35th wedding anniversary and will turn 59 next month. He reports that he is getting better day by day and his doctors are very satisfied with his recovery. I'll have to work up a reply as I have written it in my head many times, but did not expect to hear from him this soon as I thought it would be after the 1 year anniversary of the donation. So, again, I ask that you consider joining the National Marrow registry at bethematch.org.
  15. have you investigated other personal policies? Try ehealthinsurance.com - I bet you can find something that is cheaper than your cobra payment.
  16. From the ATC: Georgia A.T. Plate Sales Reach 900 Help Us Reach 1000! Mount Katahdin is in sight! The thru-hike is almost over! Georgia residents have submitted 900 applications for the specialty Appalachian Trail license plate. Only 100 more are needed to reach the magic number of 1,000. If you have already ordered your plate, thank you. Help us reach our goal by talking up the plate with your friends and hiking companions. Mention it to fellow hikers you meet this fall along the trail, at trailheads, and at outfitter stores. If you have not purchased a plate, the time

  18. krwills, I am sure we'll do this over several day trips as needed. Where did you put in at to start?
  19. just planning at this point - probably go after a hard rain so there is flow and not a lot of shallow areas. I'll be needing a support crew to bring me cold beer at road crossings.
  20. the goal is to kayak the creek - just want to start close to he headwaters.
  21. What gets me is that millions saw what living below sea level can do to you and your property when a bad storm happens. Get a clue and move on before it happens again.
  22. I am looking for the headwaters of the Pumpkinvine Creek. Mapquest shows the location to the west of the 120 connector near Scoggins Road. Does anyone know if this area is accessible or who might own the property?
