two issues: 1) failed to properly pay taxes owed by failing to file a true tax return 2) failed to fully understand tax code and take advantage of all credits based on investment losses that lowered income. #1 is criminal #2 is plain stupid a stupid guy who has perpetrated criminal acts wants to be governor (again)

I don't think this will help finding someone that is currently waiting trial -- only for the convicted that are in the prison system of GA.

It does take a 7+ days for the person to make the web-site of the jail they are being held in. If he has been indicted, then he certainly has been in jail for a few weeks. Do you have an idea where the person may have been arrested? Like a particular county? For instance, if they have always been in the metro Atlanta area, I would hit every county jail's web-site and do a search. I know for Fulton county's search engine you have to remove each search field that you have no info for in order for the search to work. Pretty stupid piece of software.

Do you know the state? Do you know if the person has been convicted therefore bringing on a transfer from jail to state/federal prison?

I have a friend that has been a state rep for many years. I recall his learning the system down at the capitol and sharing his run ins with the tyrant that was house leader for many years. I honestly don't believe "one man of honor with principles and no baggage" will make a difference which is sad. Just look at the hope and change that we have had for the last two years. Didn't get us any where but further down a hole. You have to run the lot out and start fresh. The person with the majority of votes cast will win the seat. I just hope they are ready for the road blocks that are ahe

Story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101015/ap_on_re_us/us_budget_deficit "Top economists with the National Association for Business Economics forecast this week that the 2011 deficit will total $1.2 trillion, only slightly better than the administration's estimate. These analysts pinpointed excessive federal debt as their single greatest concern, even more so than high unemployment."

BMR, are you able to quantify the savings you saw with the decreased rating?

Be the One Run - something for the runners out there.
FreeBird replied to FreeBird's topic in RECENT TOPICS
On a similar note, I got contacted yesterday asking if I was interested in meeting my marrow recipient -- most likely at a big event in April. I hope you guys are able to support the NMDP in the running event and even take the time to get registered while you are there. -
Thanks for the reply - I was looking for more meat if you had any. I respect your voting preference. As with any politician there is always a lot of smooth talking but no beef. Where is Clara Edwards when you need her?

SO ROY BARNES ACCOUNTANT MISSED $7000........
FreeBird replied to lowrider's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I've been waiting for Pat's report on this one -- I guess he has been busy and could not get to it. Of course, you know that the Barne's group had been busy looking to uncover dirt before anyone else did. I wonder if he is looking for a new accountant? -
I don't know why this is a big deal. Isn't this like 2 hours overtime on Obama's printing presses?
-
Can you define "proper and clear understanding of what it will take to make Paulding County a strong, viable community" in your own words?
-
I think we will all see increased costs - just hopefully not as much as it could have been.

My understanding is that the areas that were a 6 are now classified as a 5. My guess is that you live near station 11 and are within the "5 minute" response time required for class 6 already. Before station 11 came along I was over 5 miles from station 6 and my property was still classified as a 6. It has to do with availability of water, manpower at the fire station and response time of the equipment. My guess is that the new rating just has not caught up with your insurance carrier. The new rating should not take affect until your renewal so if I were you I'd keep up with that date and ensur

here is the site for the rating organization: http://www.iso.com/ After a quick look it appears that you have to purchase access so calling your agent will probably be easiest as well as alert them to any change that may be due for your property.

I do try to post the ridiculous when I am listening to the scanner so people get a good understanding of the stupid things 911 is used for. Some of the stuff should be criminal as the call puts units out of service for other calls.

SG, we have a Canon HF-200. Probably my only complaint is the process of viewing on a PC. The codecs used between the camera and the PC were a chore to get setup correctly. Ours is just at 1 year old so it is probably old technology. Consider a monopod for easy movement around the field. A professional like Pat has some good points about the SLR with video capacity.

but you did realize a savings due to the lower rating - could have been $200 increase, right?
-
yes - that is what I had to do.

I just called the agent and said that knew I was in the rated 6 area and that I understood the department recieved a higher rating for my area. State Farm took a while to confirm - I think the new classifications have to filter down from the rating agency to the carriers. They finally confirmed that I am now in protection class 5.
