The assessor is looking for improvements - like an extra A/C condenser or finished basement - so they can up your assessment and you'll get to pay your fair share. That is one reason for a building permit if you do make improvements - to notify the tax assessor that a bump in value will be due.

If the ILA workers don't want to work then I am sure there are plenty of people that would love to have an opportunity. Send them packing if they walk off.

I just had to replace my lower 2.5 ton 15 SEER heat pump last fall - would have been in the $7200 range. I have a friend that is a commercial AC man and he helped me with a great price. If you would like his name send me a PM. You can google discount hvac and build systems online to see what the price range. I would suggest going with highest SEER you can afford. I see the difference this cooling year with lower power bills and a unit that can "keep up" with cooling needs.

LPPT, there is waste in the county. I saw some yesterday at Burnt Hickory park. Four county vehicles and probably 10 men. I saw 3 of them actually doing any work. That is waste. -

Please advise Mr. Graham that the Paulding County Marshall's office is charged with enforcing local county ordinances. Point taken, Mr. Pownall, you support the Sherriff's office and fire department. -
my old man sent me this one: http://www.billcook.net/puttin-up-the-flag.html I enjoyed it - hope it might make you think of something to be thankful for.

I'll aways remember the day - 8th grade. My good friend had tickets to the next concert to be held in Asheville, NC. He was crushed that he would not be able to see Elvis.

10-44 attempt
FreeBird replied to FreeBird's topic in NEW Scanning the County - Emergency Services radio Traffic Reports
I can only relay how I hear the calls reported. There are calls with 10-44 threats - I'm gonna kill myself with a pencil.... as well as 10-44 attempt - caller reports man has cut himself or took 50 pills. There was a successful 10-44 attempt a few days ago on Roman Drive. This was reported as a 10-44 attempt, with gun. I don't recall if the EMS units call him signal 48 at the scene or if they worked him all the way to the ER where the doctors there made the call that he was dead. In your example, if you came home to someone that was "blue and cold" then it would be called to the EM -

10-44 - it is an attempt or threats and reported to officers and EMS as such if it was successful then it would be reported as a signal 48 with a request for coroner -
