  1. The red convertible was the one I really wanted lol. Yes on Ridge Rd. It's not in the obvious spot by the Auto Parts place, but in the lot behind Blockbuster. That means we can get another restaurant on the corner..
  2. Oh the car is doing great. This time of year the bike gets most of the miles, but the car will get it's turn this winter. I can't believe we're getting a Waffle House finally. It's long overdue.
  3. They started construction on a new Waffle House by Kroger.
  4. Look up Gerald Vansant, Gil Campbell, Clifford Hughes, Gary Singleton... if there's any surveying work on the I-20 West corridor, they're involved
  5. There's an older fellow that drives his 49 Ford to Grands on Ridge Rd pretty regularly, and it's in pretty good original condition too. He's potentially a source of info/parts, but I don't know his name. He's proud of the truck and likes to talk about it.
  6. It kicked back on. Y'all are geniuses. Thanks!
  7. I just got back from an overnight trip, and found that the door had been left open on the freezer of the side-by-side. The freezer was almost completely defrosted (and yes there was a mess). The compressor was running. I cleaned up the water in the floor, cleaned out the freezer, and at some point while I was cleaning the compressor stopped running. It's now plugged in, the lights come on, but it's not making any sound. Is there a reset button? Or is it fried? Assistance appreciated. Ice water or iced tea would be nice this evening...
  8. We've had 67% growth since 2000. Is that relevant? I suspect the growth rate from 2008 - 2010 is significantly different.
  9. There's what appears to be a father/daughter at Hwy 61 and Ridge Rd this afternoon collecting money and holding signs stating that the father is unemployed and needs money...
  10. Actually, it's leaking. A lot. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/04/24/coast-guard-oil-leaking-sunken-gulf-rig/
  11. Sorry to hear. David let us know if we can do anything.
  12. There's a foreclosure in my neighborhood for sale. It's the same floor plan as mine, and the asking price is $60,000 less than I paid for mine.
  13. That was probably Charlie Croker. He kept our well pump going.
  14. I did some snooping one time, and I'm sure glad I did
  15. Washburn is one of those 'brand names' that have been stuck on a kazillion different guitar designs made in factories throughout Asia. The name doesn't really have any meaning. Most any beginner package is going to suit your needs though, so if the price is agreeable, go for it. The most important thing is going to be set-up. Ask the people at Dirt Cheep to set the guitar up for you, and adjust the strings so it's easy to play etc.
  16. I could understand the argument if it had been a Lifetime Achievement award. It wasn't. It was for Entertainer of the Year. Taylor was more entertaining that Wynona this year. I predict that she'll be more entertaining than Wynona next year too...
  17. Do we still pay property taxes in the old courthouse annex, or have they moved to the new courthouse?
  18. If you happen to want a toyota truck, DJs Auto Sales on Main Street in Cedartown. He usually has other models too, but they seem to specialize in Toyotas. I have purchased several vehicles there, and never had a single complaint.
