  1. So sorry to hear this. Such a good family. Our prayers are with them all.
  2. I am so glad you are having workshops like this. I sure wish you would have been doing this a couple of years ago when I had no idea where to begin and it seemed there were not many resources nearby. Thanks for what you are doing and I hope to get over to your shop soon.
  3. Sorry I am just now posting but I wanted to thank weatherboy for giving these away! My boys loves Sparkles and they will be so excited to be able to take their friends. Thanks for giving them to someone who will put them to good use-me!!
  4. Our 8 year old has had 6 surgeries and 1 procedure, beginning at 6 months old, that required us to limit his activity for various periods of time. Yes, it is very difficult but it can be done, even if you have to spend the majority of your time entertaining. As far as what may be too active at this age, they usually just mean no running, don't take them outside and let them get hot and run around, no jumping, etc. Rides in a wagon or stroller are usually good for these times, even if you have to do it in the house (if you have room). Those plastic lap trays that have a place for a drink,
  5. Children's Ortho. of Atlanta is who we use and I like them alot. They have several locations. Their number is (404)255-1933.
  6. Believe it or not, that is what we were talking about last night. I told hubby that it was so good that you all can be super excited about this news, knowing what good parents they are.
  7. Nikki made me guess who was pregnant when she called me. I was wrong and she finally had to tell me. I was SO surprised!!! We are so excited and I know that ya'll are! Congrats, "Ma"!!!
  8. Yay for Shannon!! She is our neighbor but she might not know who I am since I don't go by my pcom name in the 'hood, lol!
  9. May God grant you peace and be with you all at this very difficult time. I know it can be especially hard on the children.
  10. She was a para so many years ago, they weren't even called paras yet. They were still teacher's aides. She was mine when I was in kindergarten and she was wonderful. My family and I were members of New Canaan and attended with her all these years. She was a sweet lady who will be missed by many.
  11. It bothers me too since my husband and I have insurance that we pay way too much for and we still have high deductibles and copays. I wish there were a better balance where if we did have more affordable coverage then maybe I wouldn't mind so much what we had to pay when we had tests run, etc. Since there was not something like that (that we could find), we are very thankful to have the insurance we do have and that there is something the kids can be on where they can get the medical attention they need when they need it. My husband works his butt off and we pay our taxes too, so Peachcare is
  12. If it makes you feel any better, you pay more the more kids you have to put on it and I believe the older they get. Some who are on it also pay copays when their kids see the doctor as well.
