The day I found clean folded clothes in the dirty clothes basket because my daughter was too lazy to put them away in her drawer was the day she started doing her own laundry!

You could also try aquarium salt. Poison ivy would spread all over my whole body as a child. I had a bad case of it once on vacation with my family, and a dip in the ocean cleared it all up by the next day. Since a trip to the beach is a little difficult around here I've recommended an aquarium salt bath to several friends and they say it works.

I'm a smoker as well, but rarely smoke in my car. The kids are usually with me. But, when I do I make sure I have an empty can or bottle to extinguish in. I know two people who were fined $300 for throwing a butt out of the car. One of them wasn't even guilty...it was the car in front of her, but the butt hit the windshield of a cop behind her. Anyway, just wanted to let anybody who didn't know that cigarette butts are litter and you can be ticketed and fined for it, especially in Kennesaw.

I used to live right off of 61 and there were several instances where we would wake up to find dead dear up by the road. I believe, after much hunting for the right people for the job, DOT were the ones to come out and take care of it. I actually watched once as they dragged the carcass a few feet past my neighbors house and re-dumped it in a ditch. I don't think they really have a protocol to deal with dead animals. You'll probably be better off dealing with it yourself following the recommendations of others here.

The water is off in the Burnt Hickory area. Anyone know when it might be back on?

My daughter said the same thing! Can you imagine? We'd be snowed in for weeks!

Sister-in-law off of 61 N, Burnt Hickory area has no water, but here on Dabbs Bridge water is still flowing fine.

Thank you all for the posts and updates! My mother just came home this direction and did not have any trouble. Hopefully it will stay passable for my husband and all the others that are left with this as their only route home.

Does anyone know the road conditions 61 North through Main Street Cartersville to the interstate?
