I think that conservative Christians are just beginning to come to grips with the fact that this country is in need of a revival that will likely never come - as a result, you much choose how you're going to proceed in this life. We just keep re-defining right and wrong and watering down what's acceptable. I'm okay being "different" - even if that comes with a nutter label. Friday night my SIL was watching TV when all of the sudden she began to shake uncontrollably. Now, she has terminal cancer. She also has a history of seizure. My BIL immediately called 999 and requested an ambulance. Yes folks, you have to ask nicely. After the 999 phone operator listened to his request, he was denied ambulance transport. She said that she would need to phone the doctor and have them call him back. He had some choice words and his call was disconnected. He waited an HOUR for a call back in which the doctor immediately determined that she needed ambulance transport.

It was a total crap shoot. It had a 50/50 chance of working. I'm glad it did, it's good for everyone, all around. I'm concerned that it may have set a precedent that could begin to give the government too much control, not to mention be unsustainable, but for this instance, we should all be glad it worked. I'm trying to get okay with big government because no matter what we do, it's here to stay and it will only get worse. I was worried, but my Christmas spirit has FINALLY arrived!!! I'm hoping that you all know that an AR-15 isn't any different than any other rifle. It looks scary, but that's all... It's called an assault rifle because you can fix a bayonet to it and it can hold 30 rounds. Take those facts away and its a hunting rifle. If you'd ever fired a gun, you'll know that it takes a tenth of a second to change a clip. I'll give you that a half a second is possibly a life or more, but in all actuality, banning THIS particular gun isn't going to change much of anything....
