Perfect post. I can honestly say that some of the richest people I've known were poor. And most of the wealthy people I know have gotten there by being a good person, giving back and doing good things in their community. I don't have a single rich friend that isn't a person of tremendous character. It's really the basic principle of karma.

Kanye's fan base is teen to 30 something people like you and me. Thugs, which would probably remain untouched by this aren't listening to Kanye. They're listening to Rocko Da Don and the like. Kanye's money is made by iTunes downloads - they don't have those on Veteran's memorial. I am hopeful that this does affect Kanye negatively - I'm done giving him my money.

We are looking at all of our insurance plans right now and evaluating which to keep after retirement. Do you guys have long term care on yourselves? I heard that a nursing home will run 7-8K a month in today's dollars, does this sound about right? I'm wondering if it makes sense to start coverage on myself now, so that I can avoid the costly premiums as I age.
