  1. My hatred for this airline is unhealthy, but the proof is in the metrics.
  2. Delta has run 10 flights from NYC to Atl since 6:03am today - not a single flight has left/arrived on time. Continental has flown 6 from the same airports starting at 6:30am and not a single flight has experienced a delay. It's an impressive feat when you can't get the first plane of the day off the ground on time.
  3. Don't have aftermarket ones, but they are SOOOOOO much better!!! Not that much better for other drivers (they blind me on-coming), but it's like driving during the day!!
  4. No. I was talking about the Paulding one. Now I have them both going. Paulding is much louder, which I do like. Stronger accents though.
  5. I'm doing something wrong...I just get SILENCE.
  6. Where is the link to scan paulding? actually, more importantly is where would I find the codes?!
  7. Really??? Well, I am...but I'm also listening for things in my area. Hmmm, Cobb is so active today, but perhaps I should try something new. They just had someone report "foot steps in the attic"...once they wrap that I'll move to paulding.
  8. Encrypted? There's just so many numbers flying around. Today's active. So, how do the dispatchers keep track of all that's going on?
  9. I've started listening to the Cobb scanner, and I've read and understand most everything, but when they call out 4 digit numbers, is this to identify the particular officer? For instance, "2214 code 4" is what I hear on the scanner. I'm guessing this means that officer 2214 is requesting an ambulance? And is it a 1:1 officer/dispatcher? How do they know?
  10. We've only had ours up a week or so...and we always buy from Big Johns. Our tree was so fresh, it still had ice on it!
  11. Where did you get it? I need THREE dresses \ And none of them traditional.
  12. They said it would target hotels, which are particularly vulnerable because most hotels offer BUFFET breakfast. Short of that, and Sweet Tomatoes, I don't eat at any buffets that I can think of...it's concerning.
  13. http://liveshots.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/12/21/aqap-looking-to-attack-u-s-food-supply/ The group behind last year’s failed Christmas Day bombing and the recent attempt to send two explosives-laden packages to the United States wants to attack U.S. food supplies, but U.S. authorities don't believe the group has the capability to do so, Fox News has learned. A source with knowledge of the situation said authorities obtained information “a while ago” indicating a possible plot by associates of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula to target food at hotels and restaurants inside the United Stat
  14. The problem with 19 and 40 is the extreme difference in lifestyles and experiences. It's not so much the delta, but when the delta occurs. I was almost 30 when I met my partner and he is 25 years older than me. I think I would be bored, and resentful, if I had met him 10 years ago because there was much that I learned about myself and got out of my system during my 20's. Not to mention I was a million miles a minute, something that slows as you age. Sorry to insert some logic into an otherwise loving thread. I'd be concerned about the affect on college as well.
  15. Wow. I rock this outfit all the time. Turn heads every time I do it too. I also rock a man's shirt over tights, with a thick belt and adorable booties. Never had anyone call me lazy in my fashion sense. Of course, I'm really tall, so that might help pull off the look.
  16. The wole birth defects from inbreeding was debunked. Look at the Amish. It's gross as hell, but I don't want tp police ANYONE'S bedroom activities.
  17. I'll admit, I'm very comfortable speaking in public, about things that I feel I have a strong authority of...but, I thought it might be good to share tactics on how to deal with piblic speaking. My number one piece of advice is to reherse. It sounds silly, but if you can manage to know what you want to tell people, tell them, and tell them what you've already told them, it will give you the sense of authority and power and confidence. Andy other tricks? Especially when preperation isn't really available? Like, at a wedding, or funeral, or when someone "calls on you" for an opinion?
  18. I didn't read the responses, but I practiced attachement parenting. This included baby wearing and cosleeping. If you want more info, let me know. I'm of the opinion that a child less than 6 months that is crying, is crying for a reason. Wet, hungry, or in need of the comfort of all they've ever known - being back inside the womb.
  19. http://www.ajc.com/health/thousands-on-hiv-drugs-779009.html PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Cash-strapped states are cutting back on a program that provides free medicine to people with HIV, leaving thousands of patients to wonder where their drugs will come from and stirring fears of a return to the days when an AIDS diagnosis meant certain death. At least 19 states have taken such steps as capping enrollment, dropping patients, instituting waiting lists, lowering the income ceiling for eligibility, and no longer covering certain drugs or tests. The AIDS Drug Assistance Program is funded b
  20. The good news is that the one person that I could see doing this from pcom won't even email the BOE let alone attend a meeting. Positive news.
  21. I rank phone companies and cable companies right up there with the federal government. You have to use them, they suck, and there's really nothing you can do about it. BUT, here's my question. All the survey crap that they send to me or ask me to take is like revisiting an assault - and a big freaking waste of my time. Why in the hell do they bother? They're not going to do anything about it and those surveys are expensive. I'd think the least they could do is dump the damn surveys and take a couple bucks off my bill. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with AT&T. I needed a regi
