Great, new next step in anti-gun control...
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to GipperGirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
There are many very effective ways to prevent being the victim of violent crime. Often times, having a handgun provides a false sense of security and people neglect doing the "simple things". And lets be honest, if you have 2 armed people facing off - you're down to luck. -

I'm not sure I understand. I don't own a gun, so what would be left, begging and pleading? Do you think that because I choose not to own a gun, I'm somehow incapable of defending myself? Some people do choose offensive measures, like a security system, or making logical decisions, like parking in well lit areas of the airport and scheduling flights to land during day time hours. I don't care if other people want to carry guns, but I'm too superficial about my appearance to allow something like that to ruin an outfit. -

There's a video of it, and in the video the camera girl says, "Oh yeah, I'm going to document the $hit out of this". At that point, shouldn't Miley, or anyone with even a single brain cell fluttering about, think that maybe that's not such a good idea? My mom always said, "don't put anything in writing that you wouldn't want your grandmother to read." -

I think everyone would defend themselves...but I wouldn't leave empty flatscreen boxes outside and the door unlocked in hopes of the opportunity. -

5? Don't say anything...it's not like she's reading the AJC. But this chick needs some PARENTS. -
Not to EFFING record themselves hitting "water pipes". http://voices.washingtonpost.com/celebritology/2010/12/report_miley_cyrus_smokes_weed.html I love to watch this train wreck!! Stay classy, Miley!

Oh, and I'm just curious - you're supposed to check your firearm into your luggage I presume. Is there a type of container? Does it have to be unloaded? Locked? Don't need any handlers getting their toes shot off. Man, and it's a $50 fee round trip to take it with you. Meh. I travel a million miles as it is, without problems, I'll save my cash and hassle. -

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. And just cause you're a gun owner, doesn't mean you're not an idiot. There area so many conflicting statistics that I don't know which side to be on...I just think that if we have to feel like we NEED a gun to protect ourselves inside an elementary school...our probablems are way bigger than civil liberties. Oh, I just through of a new ticker for my profile - the countdown until I get to leave this crazy ass country! -

You're right. My apologies. I love the autotuner at the end. -
Thats for applications, not storage. All CRMs are cloud based, most tools are cloud based, but data still resides on servers with compsny controled security.

They have 2 areas - you can go upstairs where there are candles and deep reds and a coffee house/acoustic song time. They show the sermon on a big TV. Downstairs, where the sermon takes place, is a great praise and worship band. -

It's at Northpoint church, -
I do it, but I don't think I'd be willing to put my financials on it. I'd probably put those on storage drives like we do now (we have them in a fire proof safe). And I'm assumming that this is for consumers only; I don't see businesses coming off of secure servers ever.

It's a gold star...given for reasons that are only known to the pcom Gods. They negate bullets, which means you can now call someone a name and have no consequences!

I'm with you - I dig what the crunchy hippies are saying too. I did, however, do some basic math and getting the paper for coupons costs a lot less than printing from the internet. When hubby retires and I stop working, I'm going back to my nazi hippie ways. For now, I just don't have the time to worry about it.

I was in the grocery store a few weeks ago and the AJC was there running a promo. You got the days paper, plus Sunday delivery for 2 months and a $10 grocery store gift card for $19. No brainer. So, I signed up. After a month, still no paper delivery. I called yesterday and they apologized and said they would give me 7 days for 2 months for the mix up. I expressed my appreciation, but told them I was not interested and wanted Sunday only (for the coupons). Well, low and behold I walked out this morning and there was a paper. Sigh, anyone need a daily paper?

Oh, and people that think posting about Jesus on FB makes you a Christian.
