  1. I'm sure animal control has some cats, and kittens. Is there a reason that they want kittens?
  2. Daym girl, get off your high horse. I don't give a flying flip if there is alcohol sales in the city of Dallas. Hell, I don't care if y'all voted that every body had to fart in the wind. I was more concerned with more important things then if you can get your drunk on. My question was if one doesn't live in the city proper, does the out come of the voting affect those of us who live in the county. A simple yes, or no question. And, those are exactly the way most people I know feel as well. You said it better then I.
  3. Maybe it is my concern. My statement should have been, will the results of the city of Dallas elections affect the people who live in the county? Totally missed this. Same question I have.
  4. I don't live in the city proper, but I do have a Dallas address. I was told that this was only for the people who lived in the city proper, not for those of us in the County. Now why should a bunch of people who may/or not know what they are voting for tell me what to/or not do?
  5. Oh, OK I guess you forgot the . I just happen to be one of those parents with a smart kid who also happens to be athlete. So, yes the academics are of first importance, and then the athletics. I don't know of any parent with a student athlete that doesn't place the student part first. That's all I'm saying.
  6. I tell my boys "don't ever believe a girl that says she is taking birth control. If you haven't watch her take it for at least three months, then don't even think of having sex with her." I have also told my sons that if she dresses like a hooker, then she probably is. I have also made sure they know that when it comes down to it girls can be conniving, and manipulative. They also know that if the girl cries rape, no matter what it will be on them for ever, even after being proved that it was consensual. Girls who are smart, and confident don't show all their "assets" and that may be the girl
  7. I think they do. I wasn't sure what the school specialized in. I do know that KSU is known for their teaching, nursing, and business programs.
  8. Sounds like it's the differance between someone saying they graduated fro Havahd, and UGA.
  9. Is this his spouse, and children? If it is and he is 60-70% disabled, then he gets right at 1600.00 a month. Now, if he also gets SS or any other benefits that figures in as well. http://www.benefits.va.gov/COMPENSATION/resources_comp01.asp#BM04 He needs to go to see these guys at the Vet center. They are the first step to getting the paperwork right, and hopefully can point him to other resources. http://veterans.georgia.gov/field-offices
  10. You only get to keep your plan as long as we (the gooberment) say it is what you want. After all you don't know what you want, but we (the gooberment) do. So take the blue (or is it the red) pill, and we will do the rest.
  11. That and the sheep will be replaced with brown cows. Because. the gooberment knows the rancher isn't happy with sheep.
  12. Oh, just ask the gooberment. I'm sure they know exactly what you need.
  13. Hot dang, I knew it would be Bushe's fault somehow.
  14. Hiram Animal hospital has a couple I think.
  15. So? If you DL is scanned it's going to like sound an alarm or something if you don't clear? What exactly is it checking for? I can see it now. The parent is cleared to go see/get their kid, and while they are in the school this thing has let the LE know it has found someone with an outstanding warrant. What happens next do they get picked up as they are leaving the school. Can you see the threads that would be started on here???
  16. Now, they have this thing that scans your DL, and then prints out your visitors pass.
  17. Yeah, but if the question wasn't asked, and answered EVERY FREAKING year, then it wouldn't be P'com. Also these topics invite the ensuing conversion. Personally, I've never gotten into any holidays, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and Forth of July. Memorail day is always remembered for what the day was set aside for, BTW it is NOT about BBQs, drinking, and parting. Labor Day just means that summer is over, and football is right around the corner, if it hadn't already started. New years is just another day for people to get drunk, and get stupid.
  18. Thank you. I just set the DVR to record it
  19. We didn't have that kinda of nonsense, that I knew of. For us October 30, was just another day, I was typing about the big deal with changing it, and people of faith whether or not to participate.
  20. Me too. I don't even remember it being changed when it fell on a Sunday. All this stuff about the "Devil" and such is a fairly new thing. My kids always trick or treated on October 31st, no matter what day it fell on. Now, I did make them stop when they got to be 13, and if you came to my house w/o a costume (teens) you didn't get squat.
  21. On the football side, I would love to see us go to the same system as Cobb. I think we are starting to see a start to the feeder programs though. The kids play at the rec level 1st - 5th grade, and go into the middle school programs at 6th grade. I think that would do a world of good for us out here.
  22. The Keller Youth Association Football Program in northern Texas will not be handing participation trophies to their players this year. They say it's because awards should be earned. "Going forward participation medals or trophies will be going away. KYA Football board feels that giving participation medals or trophies isn't sending our children the right message," the association wrote in a Facebook post. "Life does not give you a participation job or medal, life makes you earn everything you get," the announcement continued.
