burning of Qurans on Sept. 11 by a Florida church

Depending on the wealth of his church, the county might not try to enforce the burn-permit ordinance. If he has money for a good legal team, he would eat the county alive. If he did it with his flock and didn't tell anyone none of us would even know about this drama. It was totally an attention grabbing play. Can't he say it was merely a BBQ? My dogs have eaten worse than a book. -

Oh, there is a logical explanation alright. And I am sure the bankruptcy judge was told the same $15K/month story. -

You compare me being against what Palestinians are doing to Jews in Israel, or being against illegal immigration to your position of thinking muslims should not be allowed to build mosques in legal locations? I think you need to work on reading comprehension and logical thought. BTW nobody is insulting you - you damage yourself with your posts 100x more than any insult a PCOM reader could ever hurl your way. 1. That is argumentum ad hominem. I'm sure you don't know what that means, but you can google it. Another term you should google is "classical logical fallacy". You won' -

These are the families that escaped the anarchy and violence of the south. It would be equal to someone fleeing to USA for political asylum and being put in a concentration camp in the desert of arizona. The muslims of the south that are perpetrating KFR's go mostly for foreigners and not Filipino christians. There is a lot of poverty over there. My personal driver charges $5 USD a day for 12 hour days and that includes the vehicle. A person living in the Philippines would be considered upper middle class if they make 20,000 pesos a month. In US dollars, that's $400 bucks. I always giv -

1. They should build a religious house of worship ANYWHERE that zoning permits that they can afford to buy. That is how America works. 2. What kind of rational person would equate building a house of worship in a legal location with not being a "peace seeking moderate". 3. Opposition does not make something right. The people that oppose this mosque are racist and anti-American. It should be clear to any sensible person that any American that does not fully support the right of their fellow peaceful Americans to find a properly zoned location to build a house of worship is a fascist. 4. -

I'm just curious - are you pro KKK? Also out of curiousity - can you tell me how far you got with your education? Not an insult or a flame - just interested in why your brain works the way it does. -

You also have the right to pray to a jar of vlasic pickles and say it is your god. That only means you have zero grip on reality. Anyone who protests building a mosque or church, or burns religious tomes to incite anger in other religions is a mouth breathing neanderthal that should not have dropped out of 8th grade and listened to the ravings of his or her racist parents. When I see these religious morons burning korans and bibles and then see other folks putting man on the moon and on the ISS, I am left to wonder if all humans come from the same gene pool. OK - I'll bite. Why should Americans protest putting any kind of religious church (be it a temple, mosque, meeting house, RC church, etc.) anywhere that zoning permits? And candidly, they want to put it in the place where a run-down dump exists now and are only putting it a few hundred feet from the old one that is already there. The leader of this muslim mosque is very moderate and the US Government is using him as an ambassador for peace and cooperation in muslim countries. American muslims are *NOT* a problem. Al-Qaida, the muslim governments in places like Iran, Syria, Pakistan, A -

Every single solitary christian in North Luzon. These muslims are not allowed to go beyond the bridge they live under. At best some of us non-christian non-Filipinos bring food and other goods to them at the end of the bridge. If these muslims go beyond that and venture into the city, the christian police of the north half of Luzon come and arrest them and deport them back to the south half of the country where the muslims stay. They fled to this area because the south is really dangerous. The christians of the north and the muslims of the south hate each other. It's not quite civil war, -

Here are the muslims that live between my hotel and where I work. The reason they live like this is that the christians in this country do not allow them to become part of society. If you hate these folks because you think they want to kill you, you are crazy. All they want is for the water in the river to have some fish in it and for their bodily fluids to flow downstream. They don't even know where America is, nor do they care. -

On a somewhat related note, thanks to her posts tonight I am going to go home (I am back in USA for a bit) and take my children out for a wonderful meal. When they ask what the occasion is, I am going to thank them for staying in school and paying attention. -

Americans hung people based on the color of their skin for the longest time. I'm not sure it doesn't still happen. Lots of black people in America still end up on milk cartons. In America they also burned women to death for being witches. In the days of your boy Jesus, stoning to death was a form of entertainment (repleat with audience participation). So what apparently makes you want to faint (or were you being a drama queen?) is exactly what we in America have done until quite recently. The third world is no prize - but what does that have to do with burning Korans? -

You posted three links from "atlas shrugs" one from "truth about islam" and one on the history of Mohammed. The Mohammed link I am not too concerned with since many marriages were arranged at birth 1,500 years ago and it was a much different time in human history. My understanding was he didn't consumate those marriages until well into adulthood. But if you think Atlas Shrugs is mainstream media, you are mistaken. And that's neither here nor there - you don't know anything whatsoever about US History and now I am afraid to take anything you say as verbatim. Your credibility now -

Libertarian and liberal both start with the letter "L". Maybe that's it? BTW - did someone call her names? And I never did see her retract any of that "Christian nation" crapola. Did she do that and I just missed it? It's not just her - I think many Americans are beyond clueless when it comes to actual US History; or even the history of the Christianity that they so love to profess. I suppose this revisionist swill is what they push in bible schools these days or something. I find it mildly entertaining; though it worries me that some of these less knowledgeable folks might be su -
