  1. In the 1st Board meeting with three new commissioners on the Board, the County's legal counsel Lani Skipper has been let go (fired) and replaced by the old law firm which had previously been fired by the old Board. Talley, Richardson & Cable attorney Jayson Phillips is now the lead counsel for the Board. Commissioner Ron Davis was visibly upset by this move to let Lani Skipper go after 20 faithful years of service, but his concerns were pretty much ignored by Commission Chair Carmichael. The board voted 4-1 to fire Lani Skipper. (Ron Davis opposed). I do get it that legal counsel serves
  2. It's been a while since I've been here. So I dropped by and yes, nothing's changed. The left (Pubby/Cain/Postman/SkidMark) still hates Trump. In fact, they'd rather see all of America fail and go bankrupt than see President Trump in a positive light. Which is exactly why I left in the 1st place. Their only subjects are Trump sucks 24/7/365. Trump is the still president, and I hope he gets re-elected in 2020, just so crybabies like Cain/Pubby/Postman/SkidMark can whine until 2025 when Pence gets sworn in to take his place. Headed back to the other site now....

  7. History needs to be told, all of it, including the good, the bad and the ugly. Today's revisionists want to rewrite the history books and it does an injustice to us all when that happens. Thanks for sharing your story.

  9. Cades Cove - Great Smoky Mountains National Park This Saturday, we visited Cades Cove. We did see many deer and turkeys, the leaves were beautiful and it was awesome. One thing though, at the Primitive Baptist Church, we saw a tombstone of Russell Gregory one of the founders and it read "Murdered by North Carolina Rebels" Apparently Russell Gregory was a Union sympathizer and he was murdered by North Carolina Rebels in 1864. My great-greats were rebels out of Warne, NC, so who knows for sure? Could some of my folks be part of the group who murdered the Yankee sympathizer? I doubt

  12. The Cable Company (Comcast) has a call block service called nomorobo. https://www.nomorobo.com/ It apparently screens telemarketer calls and is free for a landline, however cell phones cost $1.99 monthly. I use it for my home #. I don't use a cell phone, because I'm just too cheep.

That ward includes much of south Marietta, below Roswell Street between Powder Springs Street and Franklin Gateway. Its representative on the Marietta City Council, Cheryl Richardson, raised the homeless problem at a town hall meeting Wednesday night at Marietta City Hall. “If you go anywhere around Ward 1, and I know it’s in other wards
