Bingo...you don't go near MLK Jr Blvd.... broad daylight or midnight. It's dangerous, in nearly every city. So why name a street in the ghetto after him? is it a joke? Is it to let "them" folks know where "their" place is? I find it wrong to honor a man by naming a dump or ghetto after him. , I really do. So why not name something good, like an airport or hospital after him? Remember the folks in California named a waste water facility after President George W Bush. Look it up. In many cities, there's an Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., however most of the time, MLK Jr. Blvd is basically on the wrong side of the tracks, the rough side of town, the 'hood. These areas are many times run down and quite frankly crime infested. Look at MLK Blvd in Atlanta... rough rough rough. Wouldn't his legacy be better served by naming an airport or hospital after him? Why not petition the government to rename Silver Comet Field or Hartsfield-Jackson in his honor? MLK Jr. Atlanta Airport or even rename the city of Memphis after him. Call it MLK Tennessee?
