  2. They are the best! They have built a solid reputation in this community based on excellent service.
  3. Have a good breakfast! I had one of those one time, it was one of the most horrible experiences of my life. If I start hurting behind my eye, it scares me. You truly have a lot of sympathy from me. I hear about people having migraines or they will tell me on the phone they have one. They did not have one like I did, I could not talk, like you I was in the bed, and my nervous system was not right for days.
  4. Wow! glad you are better today!
  5. That is one of my favorites!!!!
  6. Yep! that is were I am today! Grateful, joyful and ready to enjoy life. I wanted to share the journey I had this week with others. I think if we share more we can maybe all change a little. We are definitely sharing the sad vibes, because we are deciding to hold onto them.
  7. You know I got a lot of smiles this week!!! In fact more than my share! But along the way I also had some stresses. I am ashamed to say that I repeatedly made the choice to go back to dwelling on the negative things over and over. It was literally changing my life quickly, I was making decisions based on negative things instead of positive things. I may have had the right to be negative based on things, but........ I was making the decision moment to moment to go back and dwell on the negatives, had I held on to all the wonderful and good moments that were happening, my
  8. Well it never occurred to me it was you she did the tat on
  9. I hope that we will change for the better as people in general. I have also let it get me down a few times and that is why I am sharing. I think sharing is good, instead of withdrawing into ourselves.
  10. This has been on my mind lately. What really brought it home was attending a Christmas party tonight. Many were invited, not many came, the food was free. The person was able to put it on and simply wanted to laugh, have a good time and enjoy the company of friends. Why did people not seize the opportunity to have a few hours of fun with other people? Are we simply choosing to stay sad 24 hours a day? What are we afraid of, have we become all or nothing.
  11. Anybody else notice that people seem to have changed lately. They seem to be a little low. Not just the folks that have specific problems such as a lay off or a big problem, but just about everyone you meet lately. People seem tired, they talk less and smile a lot less. I have observed that people are participating in events a lot less, even free ones. It occurred to me a few years ago that one of the number one recreational activities for Americans had become spending. Think about it, really think about how many times that you would leave the house and not drop money.
  12. Maybe the grocery stores paid them to do it
  13. Ours all have sentimental value and the tree decorating is an emotional and nostalgic time for the entire family, no designer stuff on ours. Many have been passed down from grandparents, ornaments the kids made in school, some purchased during lean years when they seemed a luxury. But honestly some are just so deteriorated that there is more joy in taking them out and reminiscing than looking at them for weeks. They go on the back towards the wall. I enjoy this actually more than Christmas. When the kids were little we were so broke that there were not many presents, so I started ma
  14. Thank you Pubby! Those of us that were in the parade saw very little of it . I wanted to see it all! I think this was the best in years! I saw many friends riding and waving! Love the Merry Christmas shout outs!!
  15. You and the little one will be missed! I went last night and they showed me the set up. It is beautiful, we will have the entire downstairs with a fireplace. Plenty of seating, a place for Mark to set up, a patio right off the room. I had the steak last night since it was the special. I have to talk about the potato salad since generally I really am not a big fan of potato salad, Curtis talked me into it. It was great, the entire meal was wonderful. This is going to be the p.com Christmas party ever!
  16. Does this mean it is now open season on teens? If you are willing to give up your career you can pursue a relationship with a teen? This is what this looks like to me. Just how hard is it to convince a naive teen that you are in love with them? Think of all the teachers out there lusting after their students that now are saying to themselves they might just get away with it. Men have given up much better careers than a teacher to pursue a sexual relationship. The law should protect teens against predatory relationships from adults. I guess they no longer have to weigh jail t
  17. You are too sweet that is adorable! You make everyday happy for me because I know I have a precious friend in you! Long time no see! thank you! You would have gotten a big hug anyway!!!
  18. Send someone up as soon as possible to get them we are running out of room!
  19. Folks have not been that chatty that is for sure. We could use some feedback. I know many didn't like the new board, we had to do it. We are still working to make it more user friendly, and help folks to get around it better.
  20. You shouldn't lose anything, as far as we know the system is working, if it does not switch over to let you renew please let me know so I can fix it. Oh yeah it is worth the dinky pm box and the flood control are a pain.
  21. Last minute change Lenay sent a note saying she had something come up and can't join me. She did send the tickets and the announcements. Yall will be stuck with just me unless someone wants to play with me on the show tonight!!
  22. I agree Southern Scarlett is one of the most giving people I know and I don't mean materialistically even though she is generous that way. She is always thinking of others and giving of her time and caring.
