I LOVE my job! I am a Registered Nurse and I work in the Operating Room. I look forward to seeing new things every time I work. I also loved being a stay-at-home mom. I did it for 10 years! Before that I loved being a Surgical Tech in Labor and Delivery. I just love those little babies!!! I have been VERY blessed!!!!

My boy gave himself a reverse mohawk when he was 4. I did the "comb-over" for as long as I could before having to get it cut into a buzz cut. When we left the barber shop, he just broke down crying. He was crying, " I want my hair back!". He was so upset that my husband went and got his hair cut as short as my son's!!!

How do I find out if a football game has been canceled? I am a Freshman parent and I don't have a clue. I don't want to call the Bandroom to ask.

Thank you! We will be going to Egleston. Dr. Oswald is the doctor. I will tell him. Thank you! He has to have rods. We should find out within the next couple of days when the surgery will take place. I will be there Friday at 5 to braid hair!

Exactly! Thank you for your words. I truly appreciate them. I needed them this morning, too! I know that many people have back surgery every day! Heck, I am an OR nurse. I take care of patient's that have back surgery a lot. It is just my boy and the mama in me that keeps getting in my way!! He is going to do great! I know he is and I know how strong he is. Thanks again for the prayers and good vibes!!

Thank you all! The curve in his upper back have increased from 37 degrees to 50 degrees in 3 weeks. He will have to have rods put in his back. He has a severe curve now and is not a candidate for bracing nor spinal stapling!!

That stinks!! There are still a lot of good people in this world and I bet you will get it back!!!

We are going to the pediatric orthopedic at 2:15 today. This will be the follow up to my son's MRI. He has scoliosis. He has a double curve, thoracic 37 degrees and lumbar 37 degrees. Today, we will find out what treatment option will be best for him. Since his curves are already considered "moderate", we are fairly certain the doctor will suggest spinal stapling. He may try a body brace first. We will see this afternoon. He still has a ton of growing to do. He just started High School this year, so this has been very rough on him. He is in the Marching Band and it has been torture for h
