I posted this in the other Cuban Delights thread. I want to post it here as well so Sam doesn't miss it. Cuban Delights has real potential, but it has to be more consistent. Firstly, Sam is a great guy. You can tell he loves what he does. His Cuban mojo mayo creation is incredible and definitely an awesome addition to the menu. The first time the wife and I went the media noche was great! It was a healthy looking sandwich and prepared with slices of mojo pork. My wife had a piece of the sandwich and mentioned how good it was. We also had some fried yuca and sweet plantains. Als

I hear you. Mine went up 69%. I'm strongly considering appealing it this year. For those that have appealed, is the process cumbersome? Looking at comparable sales on Zillow last night, no way my house is valued at what the tax bill says.

Best post in this thread. Hyper capitalism run amok is destructive. The last few years as an example.

Rolling eyes of sarcasm in my post.

69% increase here. Just wonderful. $456 increase from last year. Our 40% assessed value increased 15,120 from prior year. I guess the housing market is booming again.

Our car after tinting by Gotcha Look'n Good. We're very pleased!

A shout out for the great people at Gotcha Look'n Good. Dianne and Russell were super. They did an awesome job tinting our Honda Fit. They were very meticulous. They are very down to earth people and are very focused on their customers. Dianne was literally the only representative of a tinting company that was responsive to our inquires. Russell was very pleasant and answered all our questions. We will definitely use them again and deserve further patronage. We would and will highly recommend Gotcha Look'n Good to other folks needing great service and work. Dianne also mentioned they do c

The article mentioned the girls lemonade stand was shut down for not having a peddler's permit. I didn't read anything about a "psychotic 9 year old girl" poisoning the neighborhood? Law enforcement has better things to do then to raid a lemonade stand. I support law enforcement, but this is grasping.

I agree. He's a great guy. He's been doing our lawn for a couple of years now. Dependable, excellent service and the lawn always looks incredible after he's done! scjr

My guess is there are more pressing needs out there to tackle, then to shut down a lemonade stand. Read more and video: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/07/15/georgia-police-close-girls-lemonade-stand/#ixzz1SH4ZCm00

It was $1.43 a gallon when Bush took office in 2001. It hit $4.06 a gallon in July 2008. Hint: Bush still in office. It doesn't matter who the President is, unless you're too delirious about your least favorite President to recognize that fact.

A muslim president, born in Kenya, with a fake birth certificate got Bin Laden. What are the odds? You knew some folks just couldn't be proud of our country and the President for this moment. Now add the Bin Laden is dead announcement during the apprentice timing consipracy theory to the pile. Look for a few more to be added soon. You can count on it.

Well said. There are quacks on each side. No one has the market cornered. Unfortunately feigning outrage to denigrate an entire group of people is all to common. scjr -
250,000 a year is bordering on poverty.

While the unemployment numbers aren't the best and will probably remain this way for awhile, things are improving slowly. The problem is, we're building a huge economy of low paying jobs and that's been going on for 10 years. Eventually when folks have no disposable income to spend, consumer spending will go away and then say hello to another recession or worse. There's an economic imbalance in our economy that can't be sustained.

This is good news. We've come a long way since the entire economy just about collapsed in 2008. The unemployment forecast is a real cause for concern. I still don't like the way the country is moving economically in the last ten years. Concentrating all the wealth in one place is the worst thing that can happen to our society. It's just going to lead to lower and lower wages for average everyday hourly workers. Of course, some are fine with this scenario. Dog eat dog and all, but just wait 20-30 years from now when you have a huge middle class of low paid workers. Unbridled greed will even

Best post in this thread. ^^^ We ought to start throwing everyone out of the country who's made a mistake. Talk about an empty country. scjr

Just curious. Why is posting unemployment data a political post? OP posts unemployment data. Gives her opinion on the state of the economy and somehow that's a political post? Sorry, does not make a lick of sense to me. scjr

Very nice! They are just awesome! They will always have our plumbing business and we will recommend them any chance we get. We've upgraded all the valves and supply lines in our home. They installed our dishwasher and a new supply line and valve to our refrigerator. The existing one was old and without any water pressure. The new one rocks! They are neat, meticulous and do excellent work. There's definitely more work from us coming their way. I can't say enough great things about Extreme Plumbing! scjr

Look no further than Extreme Plumbing. Once again, we used the services of Bill and Laura from Extreme Plumbing. They came out today and replaced our bathroom supply lines and valves. Extreme Plumbing's work is very meticulous and professional. We will be using them again very soon for more upgrades. It's great to have a plumber you can count on! This is a real gem of a company right here in Dallas. They also sponsor on PCOM. Extreme Plumbing gives free and fair estimates. If you need plumbing work, I highly recommend you check them out. They are truly great people and their se
