The problem is, they are both crooked. No real difference between the parties, but the propaganda they spew. They are all beholden to corporate lobbyists. Until we get past this as a people, we will never get our problems under control. scjr

Bingo and well said! In the last decade, we've been rapidly moving in this direction. We will eventually be a nation of low paying jobs, who will only be able to afford the "free market has run amok" necessities of life. It will not be self sustainable. Huge conglomerates will be just fine and the working stiff will bear all the burden. It's not like this isn't happening now. scjr

The kool-aid drinkers are folks who believe one party is going to do any better than the other. That believe one party cares more about the people, than the corporate lobbyists who give them thousands in political donations. The political system is rigged to make the super wealthy wealthier. Pure greed is killing America. Without a vibrant and sustaining middle class, the economy will never fully recover. We are not headed in that direction. Job growth has been anemic in the last ten years. While the economy is better than two years ago, it's really been moving in a direction that can't be

Yeppers. Aftermarket bulbs, like PSD mentioned, are the way to go. Unless the housing is upgraded for HID. I have Phillips VisionPlus +50% on my truck. Nice upgrade from stock and plenty of additional visibility. scjr

Some information here in regards to aftermarket HID kits: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/conversions/conversions.html I believe this is why HID from the factory is so effective, without the blinding effects of aftermarket HID's installed in Halogen housings. scjr

Hi Folks, Today we had Bill and Lora from Extreme Plumbing out and they completed some plumbing work for our family. They installed our new dishwasher (wife is very happy!), upgraded both supply valves under our kitchen sink and upgraded the supply lines (existing plastic valves, so they needed to be upgraded). They also upgraded the valve and water line to our refrigerator. The existing hookup was just a saddle valve and a small tube. Now we have water pressure to our refrigerator! They are meticulous, fair and do awesome work!! They treat your home like it was their home.

Thanks for the information. This year my taxes are down almost 52%. Property values have plummeted, but right now that's the nature of the beast. Using the millage rate from last year, I would have been down another $33 this year. Just for comparison, using the millage rate this year and applying it to last year's value my increase would have been $69. If nothing had changed, this would have been far lower than any increase we've experienced in the 3+ years we've lived in Dallas. Of course, in the real estate market we're in now that's not realistic. scjr

Their beef is incredible. I've been grilling their ground beef on the grill. Delicious, juicy and the perfect beef to cook on the grill. You can really tell and taste the difference between their meat and the grocery stores. No comparison. Not even close. My wife is not a big meat eater and she absolutely loves their ground beef off the grill. We've also tried their ribeye, filet mignon, fresh corn on the grill and their tomatoes. All are excellent. The folks there are so warm and welcoming. This is really a nice local business and deserves local patronage. I thought it would be nice to r

Mr. Dis offers Professional, Reliable lawn care for all of your home's needs. That's his forum signature and it's a fact. He did a fantastic job. My wife appreciated how he detailed the lawn and took care of the weeds. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work and Mr. Dis certainly does. I would highly recommend Mr. Dis to all who need lawn care. We're happy we found him. Thanks, scjr

How does Cobb compare property tax wise? scjr

We've lived in Dallas coming up on three years and every year a tax increase. A 10% ($164) increase this year. We verified this through the Paulding County Property Taxes Online service. We're trying to understand how our property taxes go up in a year when real estate values have plummeted and the assessed value of our property actually decreased $9000? Then we thought, it's the politicians jacking up millage rates once again. We're really sick of it and wonder if we chose the right place to live. We really love the area and the people, but the city of Dallas is tax happy for sure and it

Folks, I just wanted to share a very positive customer service experience today. I was looking for someone to tint the driver and passenger side doors on my Ram. After doing a search on the Paulding forums, I came across some positive reviews of Stanley Dowda of Sunblock Window Tinting. His service, work and reasonable prices are first class. We also had a great time shooting the breeze. Very comfortable atmosphere. We will be doing our Caliber next. If you're looking for someone who does great tint work, with reasonable prices, check him out. PM for contact info. scjr
