DH and I just walked in the door so I got on here to see who was sent home. Interesting to say the least from what I'm reading. It comes as no surprise to me the set up/fake/drama. SOOOOO much of Idol is predetermined. It may not be as obvious at what seems to have happened tonight but it has always been common practice.

I'm not arguing with you and am NOT saying he was/is a huge star. I'm just saying in my opinion Taylor's appeal was that he was different from the norm. Like so many that won their career was short lived with Kelly and Carrie being the exception. Many who did NOT win have had - and continue to have great careers. Taylor might have been a jerk but they all get as far away from Idol as they can as soon as THEY can. Not the other way around. Giving up 50% of everything you make - even when it is a commercial, gig or whatever not contracted through or promoted by Idol is not fun.

Yes I have been watching and I was glad to see him sing something other than Josh Turner songs. But, he still has the same baritone voice and even resembles Josh. I like him and enjoy his performances I am just saying he has nothing original to offer. As far as Taylor Hicks - he won because he WAS original and different. Nothing like him out there - and there continues not to be bc because neither is Taylor. Also it has been proven over and over again - not the most talented wins Idol!

The entertainment industry already has a Josh Turner. Although his nice baritone voice got him this far it is gonna hurt Scotty - diminishes his marketability.

I AGREE!!!! I was hoping the episode when Joy made her "announcement" that it was going to be she was leaving the show. But, NO.....she was getting her own show on HLN. How anyone can watch just her for an hour is beyond me!

I was glad you posted the recipe but then I read it and I'm still not sure what it is. (No disrespect intended, I've just led a sheltered Southern upbringing. )

My first thought was "ohhhhhhhhhhh no, not no but HELL no!!". With that said, my second thought was about this being a substitute driver and the driver who drove the bus that wrecked and killed a child a few months ago was also a substitute. Don't jump me..........I am NOT saying all substitute drivers are bad or nuts. BUT....maybe more investigation into their background/stability and more training needs to be done with substitute drivers???
