A man seen on video scaring his dog by lighting fireworks near the animal appeared in court Tuesday. William Scaffidi was charged with animal cruelty after the video went viral last month. He plead no contest and agreed to pay a $500 fine. He will get to keep the dog after the judge determined that it was not physically harmed, and there were no legal grounds to seize the animal. Cellphone video, which was captured by Scaffidi's daughter, shows him lighting fireworks on his porch, which appears to scare his Husky mix, Betty Boop. Scaffidi said he didn’t know the dog was there.

SWAT situation unfolding in Paulding County Source: WGCL ACWORTH, GA (CBS46) -Police and a SWAT team are on the scene of a domestic dispute that began early Tuesday morning in Paulding County. The incident began around 1:15 a.m. and is taking place at a home near the intersection of North Springs Drive and Cedarcrest Road in Acworth. Police say a man was initially holding a woman inside the home but she was able to make it out and call 911. Deputies tried to contact the man but were unsuccessful. Hwy 61 has the road work going on, I hope that it is somewhat fixed before school starts back... turning left on to nebo from hwy 61 and turning right on to hwy 61 from nebo will be a hard turn for those school busses...

This is what i do not understand there is so much more going on or not going on in the county. that needs to be addressed..... but this airport has taken over lives, divided the county, divided friends, I will be so glad when this is over.... and no it will not be over tomorrow regardless of who wins... but hopefully after tomorrow some other issues can be addressed and not just the airport.... I am not sure who is going to win. The race seems pretty close.. but who ever wins I hope they are true to what they have been promising the citzens of paulding...

UPDATE from Robbie's Daughter: Hi everyone! I want to thank each of you for your prayers, calls, texts, support, and visits. Dad has an amazing group of friends! A quick update on Dad--his kidneys shut down after surgery last week so he is on dialysis for the time being. He did develop pneumonia and is being treated accordingly. While he is recuperating from pneumonia, dialysis, and the vent settings his sedation levels will be higher. His eyes open when he hears you talking and he tries to move around so the doctors want him to rest more easily. Due to this, his visitors will be limited
