John Hinckley Jr., the would-be assassin who almost killed President Ronald Reagan, will be freed after 35 years in a mental hospital, a federal judge ruled Wednesday. The judge granted Hinckley, 61, permission to live full-time in the home of his mother in Williamsburg, Virginia, after finding that his continued treatment at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C., is "no longer clinically warranted or beneficial." Hinckley could be released as soon as Aug. 5 pending certain conditions, and must live with his mother for at least the first full year of his release, wrote U.S.

yep they did..... they said they were having to change thier mind... because things have changed....

I remeber when my oldest son went to college, after we took him and got him set up, and I got home I cried like a baby... and everytime he would come home and had to leave I would start crying when he was leaving down the driveway.... so i feel your pain... Is he your only child? if he is you will be a empty nester... but trust me.. you will miss him like crazy.... but you will also enjoy the new found freedom of being an empty nester... he will be fine... you on the other hand it will take a while.... awww..... you are starting over...... but it sounds like your son will be fine....

He has a lot of stipulations.... I wonder if he had of stayed the other 3 years, if he would still have those conditions on early release..

I don't think it is more of a convenience for the inmates... I think the land is there behind the courthouse, (some may have to be purchased), for a bigger jail. I think it makes more sense to have a jail close to the court house, with as much time officers spend going back and forth for court cases, hearings ect.... and if something happens at the court house the police are close enough to get there fast.. I do agree with you about the CDL facility...

This was brought up at the meeting on monday.....

from what i heard, one of the commissioners wants to add 2 more fire deaprtments.. one on 278 and a suggestion was made for the new jail if it passes vote in nov.. it would be put close to the courthouse... so inmates could be walked over instead of driven from the other side of the county for court cases.. to me that makes a lot of sense. it would save on gas, and wear and tear on patrol cars.

That makes sense,. I believe that was mentioned in the meeting... I will have to go back and listen again...
