Fried: Why You Burn Out and How to Revive [Hardcover] Joan Z. Borysenko. I read some of this at Amazon.com/ and it looks like it would be helpful. Has anyone read it? Right now the hardcover is priced a little cheaper than the softcover: http://www.amazon.com/Fried-Why-You-Burn-Revive/dp/1401925502/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0 The following is from a review by Maria Peltrova: ... It's very moving to read passages like: "Not only can I no longer make toast, I *am* toast... I have nothing left to give and very little interest in receiving. I just want to be left alone" (xx). If anyone has anything to add please do. I know different things often help different people. I have an appointment with my doctor Thursday, February 14 and plan on asking her about more options. So I would to hear about any thing that might help. I'm sure some of you can identify with the experience of feeling weighed down with pain. -

I took Flexeril 10 mg one per night for a few months. It had basically no effect. I saw some reviews where one woman said that she could only take half (5 mg.) because it knocked her out. But I took hours before bedtime and didn't feel sleepy. -

I've been taking the regular Ambien 10 mg. It works pretty well but my doctor will only give a prescription for 20 at a time. Is this common? It is not a controlled substance or anything. I would feel better if I was able to take it most nights, but she says only take it for 3 or 4 days a week. So the other nights I must try to sleep with the pain bothering me so much. How does the Lunesta compare with Ambien? -
What volunteer opportunities are available locally? What about at the hospitals? In what areas are volunteers used? Do volunteers do any work with the pastoral staff?

I saw this at the Wellstar Hospital website and thought I would post it so people will be aware of these resources: 75-80% The percentage of Americans who pray for good or better health. *Source: “Seeing Hospital Chaplaincy Through A Sociologist’s Eyes” Brandeis University, 2009 Pastoral Care WellStar Kennestone Hospital believes that total patient care demands attention to the spiritual, as well as the physical and emotional needs of each patient. Members of the Pastoral Services staff are available to assist you, whatever your religious affiliation. Your priest, minist

There is some sour ugliness running rampant through here.

The larger forums you mention are they about all subjects? I've noticed here people tend to get emotional about some subjects whereas on a forum like http://gardenweb.com members are discussing more relaxing topics; growing plants and in the home forums arts and crafts and decorating, and health etc. -

Riptides, thanks. In that post though I was asking about what the air fresheners used that Pubby mentioned. -

Well, I don't know. What is being used to change the way the air smells? -
Is it the Paulding-Times or Paulding Neighbor?

I went with a youth group to Carlsbad Caverns when I was fifteen. Now the idea of going inside caves isn't appealing anymore.

Is this for certain ages? Is the number of people that can participate limited? I'd like to see more arts and crafts activities offered.

Softs skills sound like a combination of what have been referred to as Social Skills, People Skills, Life Skills, etc. Those kinds of things used to be learned at home, church, and just about anywhere people interacted. The Golden Rule was a good foundation.

I'm sorry if it's confusing. I'm glad you mentioned it though. Those dates in the first post are from last year. I found the thread when searching and was wondering about events for the next few months.
