  1. If this is real it is proof there are assholes in every line of work.

    GOVT

....and there are actually folks that still support this gov't or portions of it. What a joke, and a slap in the face to the men and women that deserve the exact opposite. VOTE THEM ALL OUT. IMPEACH THIS JOKE OF A PRESIDENT. Yes I've joined that crowd.

    SEDA

I follow boxing and yes, I know who he is and have seen him figt. Pretty cool indeed.
  4. Let's assume you are correct. 1.2 million is less then .003% of the US population. It doesn't even cover 1/5th of NY city. What numbers are you bragging about?
  5. So, I'm driving back from a business trip and stop to fill up and get something to eat at one of those all in one restops with a Burger King. As I'm filling up this guy and his dog who are obviously homeless approach me for money. I'm in the middle of no where Tenn. and felt bad for them. I didn't have any cash so I told him I would buy him a burger at the BK. Asked him what he wanted and he asked for a couple of burgers, a large coffee and a grilled chicken sandwhich so his dog could have the meat and he could have the bun for breakfast. Got his food and came back outside and handed him the b
  6. Took my son to the Dr. the other day (well my wife did) and they asked her to fill out a survey. Has he has been diagnosed with a developmental delay we are used to this, they want to see how he is progressing. HOWEVER, this survey was being given to EVERY parent and asked that if the child couldn't fill it out themselves the parent could. I guess they are part of some study on child behavior. None of the questions are really all that personal, we got a copy and when we saw the Dr. he said nothing about it. There was a sign in the waiting room that they are collecting the information for a stu
  7. This is to the point it is laughable on so many levels. Forget political party. I want someone to continue to defend this crap "law" or "tax" while at the same time knowing it's own supports that passed it don't stand behind it. The crickets are deafing this time of year.
  8. So you think hospitals and doctors are going to just cut their profits out from the kindness of their heart? You think THEY aren't driving up the cost just as much as the 3rd party? Seriously I'm laughing to the point of pissing my pants. I'm sure my kids doctor is going to cut his rates "just because" and give up his Thursday golf game, his 150K car and his multi-million dollar home WHAT makes you believe that if we get rid of the 3rd party AND keep things private they will lower their rates? Why would they? Oh, and I have been without insurance more then once in my life. It isn't fun
  9. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
  10. Obamacare isn't going to work. We already know that. Well at least those of us that can read a history book and do math.
  11. You are kidding yourself if you think healthcare is not expensive with or without the jacked up rates due to insurance and the monopoly that is the hospital and prescription drug business this nation has created. Ask anyone that lives where they have socialized medicine. The cost is still out of reach for anyone living below a high middle class lifestyle or above. There is no way to provide healthcare at a low cost for everyone in this nation. MATH says so. It can't happen. I would like to see the industry 100% private. Compation will bring cost down more then anything else can.
  12. Or is it possiable you don't want to see how badly the gov't hand out system is abused?
  13. While this is sad, how is this criminal? They didn't drop the kid off at the front door from my understanding? They basically asked for help as they are in over their heads raising the child. I would rather have parents take their kids somewhere safe then abandon them or abuse them? Maybe I'm missing something.
  14. Wonder if your attitude about lay offs would be the same if it was concerning folks in your field? I grow tired of my family's professions being the expendable ones in this country (auto and insurance) And who pays for this healthcare that everyone is entitled to? You? Me? How much more can you afford to be taxed to provide smokey Joe and his 500LB wife with diabetes that still scarfs down Krispy Kreames their free flu shots and heart surgery? At what point to you and I get taxed to provide services to others and can't afford to provide for our family? Can you afford to be taxed another 10
  15. Very sad response. That maybe true of the executives but it is hardly true of the average person that works for an insurance company. They mean you no harm or ill will and are just doing their jobs to support their family. You worry about those that don't have insurance etc but have no issue telling others losing their job is no big deal. They can just go get another one. Truely laughable and shows you have no concept the number of hard working honest people that work in this industry. Don't let the few ass hats in charge taint your views. Look at the whole picture.
  16. Could you let me know which of my vendors is breaking labor laws so I can stop using them? Thanks. LPPT you didn't answer the question regarding the major increase to unemployment your plan would have
  17. Not true at all. The gov't stepped in to use your tax dollars, they simply made solid business choices. Their profit (pre-Obamacare) was based on solid business of not insuring folks for the same rate that they knew with 110% certainity would cost them more money. The gamble was insuring folks that they had no real clue about and betting they wouldn't fall into the other bucket. In actuallity the private insurance industry is about as honest as it gets people just don't like hearing the truth. No for profit business is going to take a known loss no matter what industry they are in. I r
  18. Are you prepared for the millions that make an honest living working at those companies to join the ranks of the unemployed? This is what kills me about folks that hate companies making profits...they don't think of the guy sitting at his desk making 50K a year that is paid from those profits.
  19. Obamacare. Making all of us pay so .00007% of the population can get something no one else wants.
  20. The Braves getting new digs actually makes sense. Turner field is a poor excuse for a baseball stadium compared to PNC Park, Great American Ballpark, and a host of others that are designed for baseball, not trakc and field and then converted. You are wrong about winning by the way. A new baseball stadium taylored to your teams style of play does help winning. Just ask the Pirates, Yankees and several others. Location also makes a lot more sense as Turner is in a cheezehole 'hood and no one would be caught down there unless it was for a game. The GA dome is fine for the Falcons but it w
  21. Lot of dodging or really simply questions when it comes to this topic. Lot of really long winded "answers" that in the end have NOTHING to even do with the topic at hand.
  22. When my rates go up becuase I have to pay for services I don't want or pay for others portion I am effected by this crap bill. There are a LOT of folks that fall into this bucket. At first I drank the kool aid and believed thier was no way they would pass something that would allow the average american to see increases to their health care with no changes to their coverage or health. I was wrong. If you haven't seen the increases you will. Or you will see your company sponsored plan change, or you will see your company hire less people, have less raises etc. It will happen. Math says so. Commo
  23. The Dems actually got something right. When the average person on the food stamps has more to spend on food then the average middle class worker does you are damn right they need to be cut. I won't event get into the abuse that the system allows for. But if you want an example I have plenty. Like my cousin that openly will admit to having another Kid just to get more WIC and Food Stamp money.
  24. My concerns have nothing to do with political party. They have to do with math, robbing the middle class, and tearing apart the foundation that this nation was built on (our rights). As for health care you are 100% correct it needs/needed work. However, forcing private companies and citizens to purchase a product they don't want, along with putting the burden of cost on the average American work is not the way to go. There are steps that could be taken first such as ending the monoply in the prescription drug market, allowing private insurance to weed out those that abuse the system. I'm even
