I woke up about 9:00, I slept in that day because it was my night to work. Called my mom and she said they thought that the Twin Towers had been hit by an airplane.. I turned on the TV and that is when they said a plane had crased into the towers. I was so stunned but got ready and went on to work. When I got to work we were all so sad and just hugged each other. Usually we were so busy but it was like time stood still. The people that did come in had tears in their eyes. So very sad to hear this. A part of my teenage years just fell away. I met him a long time ago and he was a very nice man. He was also such a talented man. So many great memories of his songs, especially Down in the Boondocks... RIP Joe South

When one of our grandsons turned one we had his birthday party at McDonalds in Dallas. We got him a baby cake, plus a regular birthday cake and we all had a really great time. He just turned 13 a couple of weeks ago so that has been awhile. I guess they still do birthday parties there.
