I actually know how large they are because I have several "power banks" of that size. Most police body cams are self-contained. This is partly for portability, and because they are water proof. A battery that size and weight would have to be connected by a cable and carried elsewhere on the officer's body. That's problematic for many reasons. So your silly mention of external battery banks is irreverent. You're only trying, yet again, to discredit police officers and contribute to civil unrest. That's a valid question, but I suspect parts of it would be to be addressed to his superiors. I don't know what gear officers in his department are issued and required to carry and whether or not they are trained in dealing with animals. A few comments and questions... First off, the owner of the dogs didn't call the police as the thread title would suggest. The police were dispatched because of someone else complaining about dogs on the loose. The officer has stated that the one dog whom he shot was charging him and he genuinely thought he was in danger. Investigators have said that the bodycam video supports the officers claims. No, I think I'm being consistent. Perhaps you are assuming I will automatically take a certain position? All I was saying in post #42 is that the scenario TJB described is a possible one. But again, I'm not assuming anything until all the facts are in. I'm not saying the cops screwed up, but I'm certainly not ruling out the possibility that they did either. I'm not quite sure what that's supposed to meam. I stated early on that this shooting doesn't look good for the cops. I have serious questions as to why their body cams were not on, as well as some other parts of it.
