  1. dude [dood, dyood] noun 1. a man excessively concerned with his clothes, grooming, and manners. 2. Slang. a fellow; chap. b. a general term of address used to a man, woman, or group. Dictionary.com <<--- And that's how you properly insert a link. Not condoning threats, by any means..... BUT: LOL! OK... Might wanna do some research on what kind of money can become of a simply battery charge. For the rest of his life? Maybe if he only lives for the next 3 months. Funny... I right click on the link and I don't have anything that says properti
  2. Uh... I don't think you are understanding the sarcasm of the "don't create any Co2 for 15 minutes..." idea. When you exhale from breathing, you are exhaling CO2. It's a by product of your lungs extracting the oxygen from the air you breath. Therefore, if you aren't breathing... you're not producing CO2. The dude he referenced is a psychic medium who talks to dead people.
  3. If you read back a few posts... Nitro was not the one who made the first "dip sheeze" call.
  4. I see you can't read too! Where did I say that I was part of this crowd? Can't you not read that i said "there is specualtion..."? I never once said that I was part of the speculation. Why the hell can't you people read? I see you can't read either. No, I'm not kidding. There are lot of people out believe an all out revolution is in the near future. And... I wouldn't know... I don't live my life that way. Yes, "part" of the reason gun and ammo sales are up is because of things like the CO shootings. However, the increased sales of arms and ammo ha
  5. Hey dip sheeze, I didn't say that I speculated anything. I said there is speculation. I never said I was on board with it. Why don't you get off your angry ass horse and stop putting words in my mouth because I busted you down on a previous topic. Are you stupid or can you just not comprehend English? Hmmm... gun sales are up because there is an ammo shortage? That makes a helluva lot of sense, doesn't it? What s stupid ass comment. No, gun sales are up because more people have taken a stance to protect themselves from predators, not only locally, but internationally.
  6. People are fed up with the crap that is going on with our government. People are talking about it being close to a time of revolution again and to dissolve this beast we call our government. The Political correctness, the lying and cheating, the move towards socialism... people are getting tired of it and they are almost to the point of revolting to get it back to where it was intended to be. The government knows this and they are going to fight it, even though, the people have the right, as guaranteed by the Constitution to dissolve a government that does not work in the inter
  7. Oh my! I wouldn't have put this on here! You're going to be called a thief and accused of stealing someones credit card because you didn't do the *right* thing and turn it in to the store. Regardless of the fact that you're actually trying to find out who it belongs to so you can return it... Brace yourself... according to another thread, you're a baaaad person! I, for one, am glad there are honest people, like yourself, who would go to such great lengths to find the owner.
  8. Well, you'd be wrong on that. The county has a very extensive GIS database with just about any way of querying that database possible. Paulding GIS has fly-overs done and compiles the data and it's added too and over-laid by all the departments, fire, sheriff, tax assessors, water, dot, etc. They constantly supply GIS maps and data to prospective businesses and other entities. The Paulding GIS dept is actually one of the best around and often are asked for their data.
  9. Part of the problem, which I've found on here several times, is that people read what they want to read and not what you wrote. They read something in to what you said, when it's not what you said at all... and then get pissed about it.
  10. True. However, I believe that most law enforcement officers are good, honest, hard working people. There are a few bad apples, like the one above, that ruin the image for all the good honest ones. Overall, I would have to say that I would trust a police officer. If he/she is found for wrong doing, then he/she needs to be punished accordingly. You didn't get the money that your 'buying' with at the self check-out line, did ya? :yahoo: :drinks:
  11. So? If that person voluntarily offered this up... he/she would obviously expect to get these calls. And really.. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at the situation and think that nobody has called an identified this for 3 months now... I think I'll call the store and tell them to stop giving my name and address out because it's been a reasonable amount of time for the money to have been claimed.
  12. He didn't say that it would go back in to the general fund of the city. He said it would go back to the general fund... IE: the fund from which it originally came.
  13. That's why it was stated that he would leave his phone number with the store, but not disclose the amount of cash in question. The store can relay his phone number to anyone inquiring about lost money. When they call him, he simply asks, "How much money did you lose?" If they respond with, "It was $60 at the self checkout next to the door..." and can give details, it's likely the rightful owner. If they respond with, "I don't know... I think it was x number of dollars..." then they are probably not the rightful owner. As far as giving it to the cashier... the whole thing is about l
  14. Absolutely NOT! If a police officer committed a crime and he should pay for the crime he committed, just like any other person. Just because they are a police officer, does not give any reason that they should endure any more punishment than any other citizen of the United States. Nor, should it mean they should receive any less punishment. Remember, this is the United States. We have a Constitution that is the law and it is the laws that we abide by. Our Constitution guarantess this... the Fourteenth Amendment provides equal protection under the law for EVERYONE, including
  15. Sorry, but in the example he gave, there was no "doing wrong." He specifically said he would return the money to the rightful owner, if they contacted him. Why does the store have any more credibility or why is it any more *right* for the store to hold on to the money than him? If he leaves his information with the store and tells them to have someone who lost their money to contact him and he will return it to the rightful owner... how is that wrong? That is exactly what the store itself would do. And just like the store, after a reasonable amount of time (or whatever the l
  16. Sorry, that last part wasn't really in response to your code post... it was for the other people that were saying he was a thief because he didn't turn the money over to the store. My point was, why the store has any more credibility or right to retain that money over the person who found it. The money doesn't belong to either party and he has just as much credibility to inform the store that he has it and tells them to have anyone claiming to have lost money to contact him directly.
  17. First... and what do you think the store is going to do with that money, if the rightful owner doesn't come back or realize they lost it? THEY are going to keep it. They will hold on to it, likely for a couple of weeks (or whatever the legal time frame is), but then it's going right in to their pockets. What's the difference? Second... And... about your quote, read the very last few words. "...appropriates the property to his own use without first taking reasonable measures to restore the property to the owner." He said that he would notify the store and give them his nu
  18. If they are knowledgeable of an existing problem, yes, they are required to disclose it. The only thing they are not required to voluntarily disclose is a problem that has been fixed. However, if you notice something or see a tale-tale sign that something looks to have been repaired and you specifically ask about a specific repair, they have to disclose that. If you ask the question, "Has there been any problems with this house?" they don't have to provide details. If you say, "The roof looks like it has been repaired, has it?" then they have to provide that information.

    P.S.A.

Are you just mad because you speak in stupidity every time you try to make a point? Or is the simple fact that you can't read and always put words in someone's mouth and you get called out on it? And you are a flat out dumbass. And BTW, it's "enforcement." I guess I'm a spelling expert now, huh?

    P.S.A.

And where did anyone say they don't have a right to be there? It was said that it is illegal to PARK there, which it is. Ya think? Maybe that's what the "No person shall park or cause to be parked..." means. Last time I checked, "NO PERSON" would include most home owners. Where did anyone say a home owner had the right to park there?
  21. Let's keep in mind that Robert Goddard (an American) is really considered the father of modern rockets. It was his idea of the liquid fueled rockets... it was his idea of multi-stage rockets. In reality, the Russians and Germans were using his designs. They both took them to the next step before the American's kicked back in, but it was his studies, research, and trials that advanced rocketry to the point where manned flight could even be close to possible.
  22. A freezer works the same way a refrigerator does. It just gets a little colder. The way it works is identical. It still takes more energy to remove the heat from product inside, when it's put in. It does take less run time, once that heat is removed from the inside. This is for two reason, there is less space to heat and the thermal inertia of the food helps keep it cold. But, the initial pull down time is more, so the amount of energy used is the same. However, each time you open the door, the heat from the outside rushes in... Every time to take something out of the insi
  23. While mass does play a part of the equation, the amount of mass isn't directly related to the units of energy it takes to cool that mass. Thermal conductivity and thermal inertia is what it's more about. If you have a 5lb block of water and a 5lb block of wood, the wood doesn't have the same thermal conductivity as the water and will not displace as much heat when refrigerated, as water. The water will take more refrigeration to bring down to a specified temperature than the wood. Refrigeration (air conditioning) is a very misunderstood trade. Many people don't really und
  24. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. The more you stock your fridge, the longer it will run to pull the heat out of the refrigerated space. Therefore, it will produce MORE heat outside (in your kitchen). Once it is cooled down, it will stay cooled down longer before it has to kick on, due to the thermal inertia of the extra food, However, once it reaches the point where the fridge has to kick on, it will run longer to bring the interior space (and food) it back to the cut off temp of the thermostat. The more you stock your fridge, the more heat it has to pull out and the lo
  25. Wow, that's the exact same set that Harbor Freight sells... and it's $8 more expensive. Ace usually has a lot of things other places don't, but they sure are proud of their stuff sometimes.
