I was just going by what her Facebook page said. It says LPN with the Douglas County Jail so the medical company makes sense too. That's also where the driver of the vehicle was a former inmate as of last November. Maybe that's where they met???

I just read this to my husband and he knows Amanda McGee from going to school with her. He said she works at the Douglas County Jail, how ironic is that?!?!

A friend of mine had just dropped her daughter off and she said that she passed several Sheriff's deputies and Georgia State Patrol.

Has anyone heard on the scanner what's going on? My son said that there was a guy running from the police in the woods near the school.

We live on a well and I bought 10 gallons of water yesterday and plan on filling the tub up tonight with water. Now just gotta remember to keep the door shut so the dogs don't drink it LOL!!!!!!

My husband traveled Hwy 120 from Kennesaw to Hwy 278 about 30 minutes ago. he said there were some icy spots but the worst are was right at the intersection of 120/278. Hope this helps!

My husband is driving from Kennesaw to the Union/Roses store area. He traveled down Barrett Pkwy to Hwy 120 to Hwy 278 (really bad spot at this intersection). He is going to attempt hwy 61 instead of Buchannan Hwy. I will post again when he makes it home. He made it from Kennesaw to Tractor Supply in about 30 minutes. -

Yes please update if you know of any. My husband is trying to get home from Kennesaw to the Roses store area off of Buchannan Hwy. He had to spend the night at his work office and is going to try and come home today. -

Per Paulding County School District website UPDATE: Paulding County Schools will be closed for students on Tuesday, January 7. School staff are to report at 10 AM.

My outside stray kitty has a nice little cardboard box that I have covered with blankets to help keep the wind out and it also has blankets inside with a heating pad.

There has been tons of sirens (police, ambulance, firetrucks) coming down Buchannan Hwy heading towards Haralson County. It sounded like they turned onto McGarity Rd or Mud Green Rd. I went outside but didn't see/smell any smoke to indicate a house fire. Does anyone out there know anything. Whatever it is it doesn't sound good at all

My son is in the 10th grade and he is currently taking the Intoduction to Law & Justice. He wants to be a Firefighter. I'm pretty sure his teacher is a retired police officer/detective. He also takes JROTC and those teachers are also retired from the Army.

I'm assuming you mean this under the old system and not the new Title Tax system? It was my understanding that once the title tax is paid that the ad valorem tax is only $20 a year from then on.

I am the OP and I just purchased my car in November. I was told that the price I paid for the vehicle did not matter. I only paid $2,800 for the car and it was valued at $4,100. The county uses the NADA book to figure out the value of the vehicle.
