  1. Not since they moved into a smaller space. It was nice at the Georgia World Congress Center. The Atlanta History Musuem is wayyy too small.

I was going to go with my family to see the Festival of Trees. But it is expensive. It will cost us $65 + tax. Is it worth it?

  2. Awww, FreeBird is getting mushy liberal in his older age..... ;)

A few weeks ago Freebird, Jr had outpatient surgery at CHOA. We were at the hospital right around 5 hours. The total was a little over $6,000 - for out patient surgery! I had to cover $837 of the costs - I have insurance with Kaiser. I was impressed with the staff, new surgical center, and wing at CHOA/Scottish Rite, which opened in September.

I remember it only cost me $300 "out the door" when he was born at Northside almost 9 years ago. His brother, born 28 months later, was a little more expensive at $1500, tax, tag, & title.

I would hate to have to look at medical bills without any type of insurance. I can understand how an injury or illness can devistate a family.

  3. Well, do you wants pageants or modeling?

I've resisted the compliments from family and strangers for long enough. Time now to look into this and see what happens. Can anyone tell me how to find out about upcoming pageants and offer some advice about entering her in one or two. I'm a proud dad who knows nothing about the process but would love to see what happens. One of my coworkers suggested a modeling agency her son uses called Babes and Beaus or something like that but so far I've held off on going to something that extreme. HELP.

  4. Look at it from their side. They hear these complaints all day. Yet, they can't do anything. If you want to gripe, call the FBI Atlanta field office and not the Probate Court. The Probate Court can't do anything to allievate this problem. You are griping at the wrong folks.

Ok I get all that - I totally undestand the delays - it was just the "I don't really care" attitude I got and you would think that with all the complaints they might want to put a "fix" in place ie temp permits YA know something --- anything----- ok breathing again

  5. Honestly, I think she has done the best with the cards that have been dealt to her. She doesn't get to vote on the new subidivisons and all the rampant growth. But, she had to deal with the sheeze that followed and I think she had done an admirable job.

As for Trudy, I think she is one of the "mis-leaders".

  6. I hate to break this but grandparents have no rights to visitation under Georgia law.

I'M NEEDING HELP FINDING A FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY IN PAULDING COUNTY. I'M WANTING TO GET VISITATION WITH MY GRANDCHILDREN THAT LIVES IN PAULDING COUNTY. MY SON AND HIS WIFE (WHO ISN'T THE MOTHER) HAS THE CHILDREN AND REFUSES TO LET ME SEE THEM BECAUSE I FILED ABUSE CHARGES AGAINST THE STEPMOM. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

  7. No, actually, his post did not. He did not mention race at all - you did.

Oh please. If you have a Juris Doctor you should clearly know that his post indicated a non-equal distribution of tickets by race and other demographics. What percentage of cops in Cobb County are White and Male? Want to venture a guess on that, counselor? And if the White cops ALWAYS walk; but any percentage of non cops by race and religion DO NOT walk; this is an unfair distribution of tickets. I may not be a Juris Doctor, but I am a Ph.D. (Computer Science) and have taken enough statistics courses to tear this guy's position apart.

  8. Wow, I read that same post and came away with nothing of the sort and I do have a JD degree.

I played it. White cop = TINNING. Some young Black male just passing through Cobb - TICKET. You should just be lucky that I am not a Juris Doctor with a grudge. I would EAT YOUR LUNCH based on what you have typed in this thread. The way to protect your legal interests is to treat people EXACTLY the same. I really think TINNING is a bad thing. I could TIN and I never have and never will. I don't show my Retired Military ID, my CDC ID, or my Paramedic shield. NEVER. Not for any reason.
