I'm a single working mom, and I have been fortunate enough to have amazing babysitters throughout my career. The one I have now is AWESOME. She has planned activities (ie, going to the free movie, library, swimming, etc...), and is working on some simple things like letters and numbers with my 4 year old before she starts pre-k in the fall. In my personal opinion, that's the best way to go...find a sitter that you trust that will do things with your child (not just stick them in front of the tv all day). It's cheaper and I feel like my child is watched more closely and loved lots!

What are your hours? I'm moving out there this weekend, and I'm sure I won't be doing much cooking with all that going on!

I might check into a couple of weeks of the camp for my kids this summer. That sounds really neat!

My daughter absolutely LOVES MacFarlane's Karaoke!! It's brought her out of her shell big time! Every Friday, I hear, "Am I going to MacFarlane's tonight?" She goes with her aunt, uncle, and cousin, and has a blast!!

Oh wow, I am so sorry for the family. RIP Mr. Keener. I just heard he had cancer not very long ago at all.

I think that was my stepsister's daughter's boyfriend's stepdad that was flown out. (No, I'm not being funny...I'm very serious!) Last I heard he was in okay condition, but I have no idea what happened in the accident.
