No Toxic dump behind Hiram Elementary
NewsJunky replied to doedear2001's topic in Paulding County NEWS
The little I know of Mr. Crist is not favorable. I will be actively seeking more info on this effort. Not liking what I hear about him or this business. -

Be careful who you tell to start a movement. I think one just thundered through Paulding last night. Someone said not 10 people cared enough to start a movement. -

How close is it to the Silver Comet Trail? Not far from what I heard. -
Another run off to watch will be Richard Wood and Mike Buck for State School Superintendent. Richard Wood will get my support. Can't vote for someone in the Barge administration. Sorry Mike.

Congratulations to your son! It is a great day for you both and I hope you can put all else out of your mind and enjoy this day. -

Didn't he have to get a certain number of signatures by a certain date to be on the ballot as an independent? Has he done that? I think the number on a petition is 5% of the registered voters in the last election. -
It is a fact. Kingston and Perdue will be in the run off. My support will be behind Kingston. Perdue is not even close to the guy in the ads on TV.

Pubby I know those guys and no one will own them. -
You have a great vocabulary! I had heard the word before. It is actually a word used to describe election results too.
-
I think it is because the other 90% sit on their butts at home and gripe about the results. I must say that I am shocked that Paulding went so much for Perdue. I will be working hard for Kingston. Doubt Karen can pull it out.

I am reading on Face Book that Vernon Collett and Tony Crowe have won. Pubby do you have those results?
-
I agree! Please help us out Pubby. I clicked on the picture and then it was easy to read. I think the results showing are for early voting.
-
I don't like dirty campaigning either. I had three candidates at the top of my list for State School Super. Some of their supporters started throwing mud and I voted for someone who had not been on my radar to begin with.
-
I am shocked that Perdue won early voting in Paulding. I do not know a single person who voted for him. Low, I don't know where to find local results. Hope Pubby or someone here will run over to the courthouse and get them.....
-
Welcome. Hope the answers are there soon.

They were moved according to the info I have received. Some trouble at Taylor Farm precinct and more folks moved. Waiting to hear whether or not that group really should have been moved. Also hearing Crowe's name was left off the ballot in one precinct. Waiting for more info before making any judgments. -
Stealth School SPLOST Tax Extension on the Ballot?
NewsJunky replied to The Sound Guy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I hope it did not sound as though I was calling you a liar. I would never do that. I know they put it on the ballot early so that if it did not pass they could try again before the old E-SPLOST expired. Makes sense. We need funds to make repairs and upkeep with as well as pay our existing debts. I voted for it but everyone is entitled to make their own choices and should.
