  1. I am being accused of being dishonest and you think I am wasting the thread?
  2. So, are you accusing me of being dishonest in my posts here?
  3. I don't think I posted any information at all that was not accurate. I went with the estimate someone else stated and gave my opinion about the mailers coming from you or any other Representative or House Member. I know how to call and ask without having money spent on them. I would think any constituent could. That is not a slam against you at all. It is an opinion about money I think could be saved in the budget crunch we have.
  4. Wow! $20,000 worth of expenses for a mailer. Even $10,000 is way to much if it is tax payer dollars. I don't care what politician is sending them out if it is being paid for with tax dollars I think that is the first place they need to start trimming the budget!!! I posted the $20,000 estimate before I read this. It is still too much and something that could go away (in my taxpayer opinion).
  5. I got one but did not read it as carefully as I should have. It went where a lot of the campaign materials at my house go. I wish I had looked closer. I would like to look at it again.
  6. If they send out a "Legislative Newsletter" just before a primary I have a problem with it. I believe there are 8 legislators (Fed) who are facing ethics charges because of the timing of some fund raising parties they have held before key votes. To me this would fall into the same category.
  7. I don't think the Republican Party picks a candidate in the Primary to give money to. If they do then I have an issue with it!!!!
  8. If you don't have it you should not spend it. If they want to keep Paulding from having a mountain of debt they need to stop spending. That is why the Democrats in Washington are making a sad future for all of us. They only care about what they want and not what is wise and good for the country. If we are not using resources in the best way then maybe we don't need more of them. What good is it to have more land or parks if we end up losing our credit rating because we overspent? What if it gets so bad that there isn't enough money to keep enough fireman and police officers on the job
  9. Pubby won't allow that. Maybe it can be pm'd to you.
  10. This is up on the site now. I think he addresses that and I do have permission to copy it. -Commentary Report- June 20, 4:40 PM June 20, 2010/Paulding County, GA – A short time ago, an interesting news report appeared here concerning builder connections and the Paulding Commissioners election race that created quite a stir among several citizens and some candidates that as of yesterday, I removed the report. The reason for its deletion has to do with my integrity, moral and value convictions and on ethical grounds. Yesterday, I thought about this after I came
  11. He has a new article up. I think you might want to look at it. He did remove the other one and explains why.
  12. I am not inclined to vote for the SPOLST right now. I have what I think are very good reasons but I don't want to post them. I am still thinking about it.
  13. I follow your posts with great interest and have learned a great deal from them. I don't like it when there is an attempt to trash or silence you or anyone else. Pubby does have the right to ban anyone that he feels has broken his rules. You should go over and read PT's new article. I think he has shown a lot of class.
  14. I think if he is going to continue to be talked about in this way he needs to be able to speak to it himself. Folks need to stop messing with him and using his name if he is muzzled.
  15. Then I suggest you go to some of the meetings and find out how the process works.
  16. They could not have built without approval of the Zoning Commission and the BOC. It is silly to blame the builders for the uncontrolled growth in my opinion.
  17. I don't see that there should even be a question about it. The last time I checked all of those professions were honorable. I do not understand why anyone would try to demonize hard working honest folks. If there is a character flaw then I want to hear about it but this stuff is getting old and very petty. I live in a house that I am glad someone built for us and we had a lovely lady realtor who helped us through the buying process. Thank goodness for all of them!!!
  18. They earn the right to become a State Delegate by attending meetings and working within the Party. They put their name on the list and make a request to become one. I believe they have to attend the Mass Meeting to be eligible.
  19. Yes, but he is not one of the officers. That position would make him a member of the County Committee. It is a large group.
  20. You are wrong. None of this stuff is coming from the GOP leadership! At least not to my knowledge. No, I am not one of them but I do know them.
  21. He did not if my info is correct. He can't come on here to answer to it. He did print it on his site though and he does approve of what it contains. I will say again I do not think it was a good move and I don't agree with it.
  22. I am still trying to figure out how David Austin even got into the campaign mud that is being slung around. He is not running for election this year and I think he should have been left out of this unpleasantness. I did not like the tone of the article and can't defend the actual writer. It was not Chris if my information is correct. He does have to take what comes with printing it on his site though. I will state once again that there were no copies distributed at the Debate on Tuesday. Chris says his site is a news and commentary site. I think he should stick with releases put out
