You need to take your sour grapes and chew on them in the cave. The venom you are spewing here is not becoming to you or to the candidate you have chosen to support. You know quite well that the GOP is filled with individuals. They do not think and act as a collective! Thank goodness for that. They do not hand pick the candidates. They come forward on their own and sign up to run. I agree with some and I wish some had not decided to run at all. That is not my choice and it is not the Party's choice, that is just the way it is. You, as a former member, know that. In my opinion we have

Both Deal and Barnes were offered the protection. Deal has said he will reimburse the state according to the article. I will send him an inquiry and get back to you on the issue. If he said he would I am sure he will. If he didn't say that I still understand the reasons why someone who just left Congress may feel he needs protection. Course I think the Democrats may feel that way more than the Republicans right now.

Looks to me like Deal plans to reimburse the State. I think it is a tempest in a teapot and anyone who would decide not to vote for him over it did not intend to vote for him anyway.

Paulding County BOC passes millage rate increase
NewsJunky replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Actually none of the folks who have been named are officers. None of those who spoke at the meeting are officers. They are members though. Just wanted to correct the misconception about that. For the record I support the Commission's position on this issue. -

You have got to be kidding!!! Of course Howard will not support your Democrat. It would not be wise at all. He is not a foolish man. First you trash the GOP and then you taunt Howard. -
I know it is just a dead bird and a horse that is recovering but I will be taking extra care and will tell my family to. This is close to home. http://www.mdjonline.com/view/full_story/9279530/article-Animals-test-positive-for-West-Nile?instance=home_news_left

Ray Cochran arrested for child molestation
NewsJunky replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
If this turns out to be true I hope the courts throw the book at him. I will wait for that to happen before I judge him. I don't have all of the facts. I am sure the court will get them and I will let the judge and jury convict him if he is guilty. Until then I will just pray for all involved, especially the child. -

I think it means that in this type of case she can be compelled to if she has direct knowledge of it. I don't believe Beverly would ever cover up something like this. I do not think this development would have made any difference in the election. Todd would have won. She is not the one being charged. She is suffering as a result and so is the rest of this family. I will be praying for them all. -

Exactly what did he say? -

I don't think for one second she would try to cover up for him if she had been elected. I don't think she could have. I do know that unless the laws have changed a wife cannot be forced to testify against her husband so she would still be considered a private citizen no matter what her political office might have been. From what I know of Beverly she WOULD NEVER think of covering something like that up if she knew it to be true. I feel very sorry for her! -
So do I! I think our BOE did the best thing for Paulding County.

Paulding County BOC passes millage rate increase

I have been paying more attention too LPPT. I was at the meeting yesterday and I heard one gentleman say that we need more in reserve to contend with some of the issues that you have just raised, should it become necessary. I just know that when we sensed hard times coming and maybe less income we not only tightened our belts but we beefed up our savings as much as we could. I think in this economic climate the BOC are trying to project the budget 3 years out and if this were boiled down to my own personal finances I would be doing what they are doing. -
Are you speaking of the BOC meeting or the BOE meeting?
-
If I understood it correctly, our BOE has opted out of these funds. I think they were correct to do so. There are strings. The teachers may like the strings less than the furlough days.
-
No, you detect dissatisfaction with your candidate.
-
I agree with you. He should have been a candidate in this election cycle.

Jerry knows a lot of people and I know that. Paulette has lived in this county for a long time. A lot longer than the young man running against her I believe. I expect she and Jerry do know some of the same people. I don't know what rule would dictate that people should turn their backs on others just because they lost at the ballot box and the citizens wanted someone they thought could do the job better. I think you need to let Jerry live his life and keep his friends. He lost let him go!!

I thought this thread was about a debate between the candidates for District 19. What does that office have to do with past decisions by the previous BOC. Oh, I do see you are still stuck on the past District 19 Representative too. I think someone who can speak for Paulette or Paulette herself will need to answer the Debate question. Will, we know has already agreed. I know what my answer would be if I were in her position. I think this tread has run it's course for me. See you in another one feelip.
