I take it you are not a fan of "Race To The Top" . That is part of the plan in most counties who applied for and received funds from it. Link to story: http://www.gpb.org/news/2011/01/20/race-to-the-top-means-merit-pay-for-teachers

I think all of the systems who cheat should be busted. They are cheating the children out of the education they deserve to have. Everyone loses.

It is more wide spread than we would like to think. It is a huge story and we do not know how far it will reach. I think the Atlanta system is going to have to pay back a lot of money they received for doing well on the CRCT! I hope it does change NCLB. It needs to go away.

I needed to use the imaging center recently and I was very pleased with them. When you are nervous about the results it helps to have calm professional folks doing the tests.

I have not heard any discussion about it. Maybe some of the p.com folks can give us some info. I hope they find a good use for it.

I enjoyed this article in the AJC. The new Hospital will bring 500 new jobs to Paulding according to the news report. We sure need good news for a change. Link: http://www.ajc.com/business/wellstar-to-create-500-1014634.html

Glad you made it home safely and your wife did not have a heart attack watching you ride that thing in the rain.

You guys have not said a word about Eric doing away with Sookie's Fairy Godmother. Do you think she will still have amazing special powers to protect herself?

Sorry but it is Meric Manual bullcheese. Course it was an old edition. Probably politically incorrect to say those things today. Grand kid just graduated high school and it was true for that kid.

You can get very tired. It does get better so take heart. At least there are two of you working together for your son. Some parents deal with it alone. If the baby is the one who is screaming it can mean he has colic. Grand kid had it for about 3 months. It can also mean the kid is very bright and is trying to absorb more than his little brain can take in. There is a name for it but I can't remember what it is. It is some kind of sensory input overload.

Does Florida have the same law Georgia does? I think the fake ID law is a good one. Identity theft is becoming too far prevalent and I sure hope it helps to stop some of it..

She can't be tried again for this and all she got was a slap on the wrist! No justice for her poor baby.
-
Apparently NOT!!!!
-
I agree. I wonder if the appeal will get this kind of never ending coverage?
-
WOW!!!
-
What were the symptoms. What did it look like and did it hurt you or bother you?

I don't see that in the law at all. I think you may need to read it before you make those comments. Not in there!

Why Is This Heading "A Day Without Immigrants"?

Very well said! -
I think you might want to do some research on the issue of prisons and the numbers of folks they can hold. California has been ordered to release some because of over crowding. Governor Deal has asked that the way we deal with some drug offenders be reconsidered because of the cost to the prison system. No, I don't think your analysis is correct. States do not have the funds to do what you suggest. No new prisons are planned for Georgia to my knowledge. I think if you fake an ID to perpetrate fraud on an employer or if you steal another person's identity then you should get a nice lo

Some believe he has earned the failure label. Congress for the first 2 years was controlled by HIS party in numbers that enabled him to do pretty much as he pleased. He failed to even pass a budget as did his Party controlled congress. Illegals are a separate class since they are not citizens. Not to mention that they are in the class of "law breakers" Just a fact Pubby. -

The job does not belong to the Feds alone. The Supreme Court has ruled on that in the case where they found Arizona could require businesses to use e-verify. That is why the Judge in Georgia did not try to stay that part of HB 87. I believe the parts he did put a stay on will also be up held by a higher court. -

Back door amnesty is what is happening now. I don't think any of us who are for enforcing the law have ever said otherwise. The illegals who are demonstrating in Atlanta are really afraid aren't they? No, they are coming out of the shadows and unafraid according to their own words. Tell me, how many law enforcement folks are down there demanding to see ID? I can answer that. None!
