  1. Amen. There are parents in Norway with sad hearts and they all need our prayers.
  2. We shall see if he really is one or if he is just crazy like the guy who shot Gabby Giffords. I vote for crazy!
  3. Who decided to call him a right wing dissident? Anyone who can do this is a crazy person pure and simple. Only one religion that I know of teaches their followers to kill non believers. This man is not really a Christian or he would never have been able to kill innocent children.
  4. The gunman fired on these kids for 1.5 hours before he was stopped. Norway has not had anything like this or the car bombing in Oslo since WWII. At least 85 people were killed on the island and some are still missing. http://www.ajc.com/news/nation-world/norway-gunman-fired-for-1037897.html Survivors of the shooting spree have described hiding and fleeing into the water to escape the gunman, but a police briefing Saturday detailed for the first time how long the terror lasted — and how long victims waited for help The attack followed a car bomb outside a government building in Os
  5. Very talented. Drugs will get you. Just ask Janice and Jimmy. I really wish you could ask them but they died young too from drugs.
  6. I was there when we found out that we were having a grandson. It was amazing!!!
  7. Me too. I think I know his grandparents as well as his Mom. May be a different Justin and I would like more info.
  8. Is his Mom's name Linda? If so I know the family.
  9. Yep! Glad you caught the reason for my post. Amazing how folks just over look that because the heart strings or money strings get pulled.

  11. So are they coming to America legally or illegally from India? Just read this article about illegals from India coming through Mexico. Yep, that border is porous for illegal immigrants from all countries. Where is our government and why aren't our borders secure? http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2011-07-17-illegal-immigration-indians_n.htm?csp=34news
  12. You are correct. Some auto makers and other businesses have left America and have opened in Mexico. Wonder why???
  13. This tells me I need to find out more about the details. Happy to hear what the p.com folks think. I may have to reassess my first thought on the subject.
  14. This law would make it a felony not to report a missing child. I had no idea that it was not already against the law. I think this should be passed. Link to story: http://www.gpb.org/n...-gains-traction
  15. Some of the children whose answers were changed have parents who send them to school hoping for the best because they can't read or write themselves. How can they help their children in any other way? I have seen some of those parents and children at school choice rallies. They have no way out unless there is a charter school they can get into and we know what is happening with charter schools. I am grateful for the good teachers that my children and grandchildren have had. They live and go to school in a different environment. You are so right!!! They plan to fight t
  16. I agree with this post. Sad about it but I do agree.
  17. I bet you don't teach. The CRCT tests begin in elementary school. Some kids just don't get it as quickly as other kids. If the tests are saying they do get it then the children may not have their needs addressed at all. The students were cheated and that is the worst part of the story.
  18. I don't blame any teachers who were not a part of the cheating and cover up. Those who took part in the cheating own it and they will have to pay the price. My only agenda is getting the best education for the children of our county, state, and country. I don't have a problem with folks who disagree with me about how to do that. I do have a problem with rude folks who defend the system when it is wrong. I have worked in the system and I can tell you that I would have blown that whistle.
  19. I am not missing your point. I just don't agree with it. Where do you think those dishonest folks are going to go to get a job now? All they have done is allow the world to see their lack of character. If they really cared about the children they would have found a way to fight for their education. If this is what the public system is about then it truly is broken beyond repair. I can't believe anyone would defend what they did.
  20. I disagree. Character still counts and some systems value it. If they don't then our education system is a lost cause.
  21. No excuse. I think whistle blowers are protected. They should have blown this wide open.
  22. Doesn't hold a candle to what this system did to those children! They cheated them and now they don't even know what levels the kids are working on.
