I've actually been planning on going to Peek-A-Belly! The ultrasound technician that works at my OB works there also. I'll be going in about 2 1/2 weeks! I'm 26 weeks preggers =)

Will be at church by 8:30 =)

DH is working tomorrow, but I've planned to go out to lunch with my sister =) What kind of restaurant deals have you heard of for tomorrow? I'd like to save some money so I can go out with DH Monday!

Hubby drove home around 6 this morning, and said that he saw more cars in ditches than on the road! I'm definitely staying in today...
-
I'll call and suggest that to him - thanks =) I doubt he will though. He won't want to stay in that jail any longer than his shift lasts! Stressful job...

We live in downtown Dallas, and poor hubby had to go to work in Dville. He works nights at the Douglas County Jail - can't really avoid the roads because they can't just shut down the jail! And, since we live in Paulding, they won't give him an escort home. I really hope he'll be okay when he skates his way home at 6:00 in the morning...

I remember when I was little, my sister had lice. My mom put all of her stuffed animals and pillows in trash bags, sealed up really tight, so a few days. She also got some kind of prescription shampoo, and combed her hair ALL THE TIME. I remember her doing it on the back porch, so the nits stayed outside...

I vote no...they're only calling for up to an inch of snow...not enough to constitute a blizzard by any means.

Thank you!! No need to reply further =)

My Hubby works in Douglasville and wanted me to ask if anyone knows if Bakers Bridge Road is still closed. If any part of it is closed, he'll be taking a different route home.

Oh, I left that part out! Um, chicken is pretty much the only meat I have right now.

Hello all! Hopefully you are staying dry this morning. I am looking for a recipe for something to make in the crockpot tonight. My hubby doesn't like tomatoes so nothing with chunks of tomatoes in it. I just thought, that since I'll be home all day today, it might be nice to have something in the crockpot, smelling up the house all nice! Any recipes out there?

Mine went from $110 in June to $184 in July =\

Mine bill went from 115 to 184! And we just live in a small apartment...

It is the apartment complex on Butler Industrial Drive, behind the old Ingles in Dallas.

Not sure, I just got home about 20 minutes ago...the ambulance came in behind me so the cops couldn't have been there too long before I showed up. I couldn't get through though because they are blocking practically one whole side of the parking lot - so I had to park and walk =(

There are cop cars and an ambulance outside of my apartment building... Does anyone who listens to a police scanner know what's going on?

When I was in high school I always left my car unlocked in the school parking lot. Stupid, I know. Well my Junior year we came back from either a band competition or a football game to find that several cars had been broken into. I was so lucky that mine wasn't one of them - but the funny thing is that I had actually left my car unlocked the whole time! Nothing was missing or disturbed. My car was a little older than the others - so I guess they may have thought there was nothing good in it...lol If that wasn't an eye opener, the following year I was at cheerleading practice while a

Taki is my favorite too! I think they have better fried rice than anywhere else I've ever been.

Okay, so until I can get a job teaching somewhere in the fall, I have taken on the position of "Nanny" for my 9-year-old cousin. Anyway, I am looking for any ideas on activities we could do this summer. These are a few of the activities we've come up with so far: Picking berries at a farm somewhere - which I posted about earlier =) Pickett's Mill Pool Museums (that she would be interested in) Painting Pottery (I am still looking for a place to do this) Hiking at Kennesaw Mountain Volunteering at church/community events Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciat

Anyone know of a place in Paulding County, or the surrounding area, that you can pick your own berries (or any other fruit/veggie)?? I think it would be a good summertime activity to do with my 9-year-old cousin...

Well, thanks to all of you who gave me suggestions. I will definitely be doing more research on how to help my kitty learn not to scratch the furniture and such before I make any drastic decisions. I am a young adult and this is the first cat that I have had to take care of (I had one when I was little but my parents took care of it). I guess I was not aware of the complications declawing can impose on a cat. Also, for those of you who question my getting a cat in the first place, I have to say that I love her to death and did not realize what declawing entails. Anyway, thanks for t

We adopted a kitten from the Animal Shelter a couple of weeks ago and are seriously considering getting her declawed. I know that some people may agree or disagree with this decision and I don't want to cause any typical PCOM uproar about this - I just want the facts. Does it pose any problems (health/physical/etc.) for your cat if he/she is declawed? Is there a minimum age that a cat needs to be before he/she is declawed? How much the procedure typically cost? She has a scratching post, yet still scratches up the furniture. Also, I'm nervous that she's going to "claw-up" our small

We have this same problem at our apartment complex. EVERY Saturday night (or should I say Sunday morning) starting at 12:00 a.m. we hear a loud bass...I've gone out on the balcony to see where it is coming from and there is no way it is one of our close neighbors. I mean, they have to have the music blaring for us to hear it over our A/C and a fan on high speed. Anyway, I've been tempted to call the police to get them to turn it down, considering my husband and I both have to be up early in the morning...but I've never done it. I guess I don't want to be the bad guy (girl actually, hehe),
