  1. i just...flat out disagree with you. the mortgage company's job is to make money. not to find you the perfect house that you can afford. that's your agents job. as far as the bail out goes....i didn't get a pass on any of my car payments....nor did i look for one just because our jackass govt gave 'the bank' a freebie doesn't mean that i am entitled to stand in a line with my hand out screaming ' i want one too!' this whole 'welfare society' mentality is ridiculous.
  2. i have no idea what taylor farms does. there's been a camp at mt tabor for years and years.
  3. according to his perception of 'correctly'. and i get that. people have personal preferences. might a make a suggestion for those who have a checklist of how they want to be treated by the hostess/greeter/waiter/bus boy? take that checklist with you to your favorite restaurant. have a polite conversation with the hostess, let her know that when you walk in, this is how you'd like to be addressed. pick the least offensive waiter. have a polite conversation with him in regards to how you'd like to be served. specifically. ask him to let his server's assistant or busboy know
  4. before you stress yourself out completely over selling the house to your husband...... talk to a bankruptcy lawyer. you can file and keep your house. you will not be debt free. you will owe a monthly payment on all of your bills, but you can keep your stuff. right now, let go of the idea of being 'debt free'. you've accumulated your debt. you owe it. you will have to pay at least a portion of it. but your lawyer will help you hold on to your house and car. there is only one path to becoming debt free. pay all of your bills, in their entirety. work with your lawyer t
  5. i think more of y'all should learn how to cook and keep your grumpy asses at home.
  6. there's a summer camp at Mt Tabor park, run by the county.
  7. if i had to guess....one scenario that a person might be considering is........sell the house to the spouse that had no credit (or completely ruined credit) and let them file bankruptcy. this would protect the assets of the spouse who has some credit (i'm assuming good? or at least decent) such as vehicles or lines of credit. i don't know the OP. that's just a scenario.
  8. ummmm. i have no idea what a modification is. when we bought our house in 2007, we looked for one that we knew we'd be able to afford if one of us lost our income. it's not a fancy house. its not a big house. its a house that we can afford to put money into, since we're both employed. 'the bank' approved us for 3 times what we spent on the house. shocking when i sat down and figured up what a mortgage payment would be on that amount. a conscience decision was made on our part, to not spend all that we were approved for. if i am reading this thread correctly......people bought h
  9. the vast majority of organized religion will disagree with you on this one. do you belong to a church TP?

  15. i could be mistaken, but i think she's being charged with lying and obstruction or impeding.
  16. please don't yell at me. but, i hafta say something really crappy right now. why didn't the people who heard screams for help go ahead and dial 911? not that it would have excused Reda's behaviour, at all.......but, it could have helped Brent. and no, i'm not assigning the responsibility to the bystanders, but, um, if i heard someone screaming for help i would have either call 911 and give as much info as i could or not called, and made sure that no one else on the planet knew i had heard the screams and not called.... either way, it's really stupid to drink a
  17. i know you feel that way....but. it's policy to bring charges when someone in the car dies, while a traffic violation is occuring. even absent intent or malice. remember that just because the charges have been brought, doesn't mean that the case will ever go to trial, or that she will be convicted. pray for the family if you'd like, but it would be wise to reserve judgement for the DA and CCDOT until all the facts are in. see? i can compromise!!!!!!! ooh! and also, not to be a smart ass or anything .....it's not up to the family of the victim to bring charges, press charges
  18. i agree. but, while giving it more thought, i can't think of many reasons to willfully commit a traffic violation. prolly why the law itself doesn't make any distinction between willful and not. i think that's where the judges discretion in sentencing should come in. does anyone know if colleges/universities ask to to explain any misdemeanor charges/convictions during the application process? the question was asked earlier, but i can't find an answer (and have never applied to college in GA)
  19. funny. i usually get asked 'how many in your party?'.... never 'would you like a table prepared?' aren't the tables usually already prepared? this has me stumped.
  20. wah? you lost me on this one. i certainly didn't mention you being a bitch. at all. i don't even know you.
  21. Second degree vehicular homicide encompasses all vehicular homicides without intent to kill that involve any other violations of the laws governing the operation of motor vehicles. For example, a death resulting from a failure to yield to oncoming traffic, speeding, or driving too slowly, unless such constituted reckless driving, could be charged as a homicide by vehicle in the second degree. taken from here this is interesting. it seems that 'without the intent kill' and 'involving any other violations of traffic law' kind of fit the accident we're talking about. in which case, i'm
  22. litle ones. and you have to come to the house first. i have something fabulous to show you!!!!
