she received an offer today via fed ex. guess they were not dragging their heels after all. Thanks for all the help.

she was told by her insurance company that she would need to file the claim with the lady who rear ended her. So far the seems to coincide with other things people are telling me. She had liability alone and it kind of makes sense that her own company would not want anything to do with it since she did not have full coverage.

I'm thinking that it simply means that the adjuster assigned to her claim is on vacation this week - it is a holiday week after all. Why would the insurance company want to stall? The more time they give you, the more likely you are to hire an attorney. This makes sense, Thanks

My daughter was rear ended on 278 last Tuesday at the Walmart intersection. Her car was totalled and the person cited had insurance. My daughter has provided everything necessary and the insurance company was nice and worked with her all last week and she was told that she would hear something today. Well, they called her an hour ago and said that they would not be able to do anything for another week and a half because their adjuster was out on vacation. I figued that it was air in the pipes and whenever the temerature goes over 97 degrees outside, the house sounds like someone is blowing a conch shell whever someflushes the toilet and the tank is filling, or if the washer is filling, or when the faucets are turned on.

I am in Maine typing this visiting family. We come up every other year and stay for the summer. It is a long drive, but worth it. The weather has not been good this week, but I did catch some bass on Friday, and we saw 8 moose in Greenville Saturday.
