    WMA

We noted while hiking that the area off Old White Oak Cemetary Road on the WMA has been marked by a logging company to be logged. Is this normal protocol?
  2. I would like to know how David Austin is going to talk himself out of the fact he fully admitted that he would not tell the GA governor what this county did or did not want because he wanted to stay on his good side so the county would get money.
  3. What a shame that parts when Austin was at his worst were accidentally lost. Maybe that big giant 'footprint' that he's going to push the state to put down will smash right down on his bratty forehead.

    ROAD

Point here: I LOVE my house and the PROPERTY around it. Scare tactics or not, my place isn't for sale. Greed doesn't run my family.
  5. I thought Carroll had already said absolutely not.
  6. Apple. tree. yah-explains it.

    ROAD

Then feel free to go live in a concrete jungle. There's plenty of city for folk like you. There are plenty of us who want no part of it.
  8. It's actually 113 I think officially that connects to 75 in C'ville, but I could be wrong-it changes to 113 there in downtown c'ville.
  9. Feel free to go live smack in the middle of those office parks. FEEEEEEEELLL Free-but stay the heck away from my woods and peace and quiet. If it's what YOU want then go live there, but don't rip up what we worked so hard to have. P.S. I wouldn't go to ANY of the areas you listed by myself in day OR night. Thanks=-go ahead, I'll get you a welcome mat, but we don't want this for paulding.

Therein lies the problem. The people that are 'for' it wouldn't be directly affected at all. THey wouldn't lose their homes in this mess. They don't have an issue with the fact people's whole world would be turned upside down and that beautiful natural areas destroyed. It's a very, very selfish community that finds no fault with this kind of decision. People MOVED HERE so that it WOULD NOT become an industrial nightmare. WE DO NOT WANT IT!
  11. Wait, wait.. I heard..CASH..I see..so quality of life is given up yet again for CASH. No thanks. I'll keep the house and wildlife management areas because I'm praying Jesus comes back to take us all before MONEY HUNGRY people destroy every piece of natural land left. What we NEED is for the current funds to be USED PROPERLY.
  12. the same ones that are going to come when the airport is built.
  13. then YOU go live in the industrial park!! I'm very disappointed in you surepip-I love you and your wife, but i cannot believe you would blithely suggest that we all want to live in the middle of industry when you KNOW that the main reason many moved to PC was because it was quiet country! If you want it to be industry, move to the flippin' city for pete's sake.
  14. BECAUSE They are wanting to rip out my house?!?!? Hello? THIS AFFECTS PEOPLE!
  15. Oh, and would your friends enjoy the prospect of their slice of life being ripped away from them? Really? I mean, sure-some would say golly gee, I'll take x amount of dollars to get me out-but really how are they going to pay ALL OF THESE PEOPLE what their land is really worth? There's no money! THen, they are stuck with a road that nobody in their right mind is going to use...who can pay tolls when money is this tight?
  16. But what does any of this do to justify them putting in a toll road?? A road does NOT EQUAL enough jobs to make everybody happy. I don't know what my hubby being laid off has to do with this either--in fact, if the job fires a person that doesn't mean that a toll road to nowhere is going to make it all better!! How on earth are you trying to make this comparison. My husband doesn't even WORK in Industry! There's no promise this stupid road will do ANYTHING except pollute and rob people of their own homes!
  17. Ok, but you see the point of this is supposedly to bring in industry-just where do you think that will be?? And how quiet can a 'winding highway' be with hundreds of semi trucks on it?? I've been on the Macon bypass-it's a freakin' nightmare. Oh, and, you can have your 'winding highway' just put it through YOUR YARD-don't take my quiet barely a road, surrounded by forest and WMA, away. My 'children' can be whatever they want to be-hubby commutes to Alpharetta-is it rough-sure-would he trade it for a house in town or near a highway-nope.
  18. LPPT I don't want my children to inherit a place full of road and subdivisions.

AGREED! *I* didn't do make their credit mistakes either, so why should *I* have to pay for them?!?!?!?
  21. The solution is also NOT to put in a toll road that will be useless to Paulding Co and to take away what belongs to people who rightfully bought it and have built their lives around it.

You don't take away other people's lives to pay your credit mistake. You figure out how to do it by yourself without ruining thousands of other people's lives.
