  1. I too have trouble with digestion and the mere stress of a long road trip is sometimes enough. I always make sure I have something to eat with me. Otherwise, I am VERY picky about where I'll stop for food and what I choose. You don't have to have the trots on a road trip more than once to know better.
  2. I thought she and her SO were going to take Nev camping and she wanted to do it in the woods. I suggested this trail because it's SUPER EASY. If you start at Dally Gap and go in the amount of miles I stated, you'd be perfectly fine. Four miles isn't far.
  3. I'm sorry...you're not old. And I know what you meant to say...I'm just saying that the part of the trail I directed her to would be perfectly fine for Nev to go as well. I've seen little boy scouts (I forget what they call them) camped there with their pack leaders. That part of the trail was once so heavily traveled they closed it because the tourists were junking it up. If it were dangerous I wouldn't have sent her there.
  4. Don't listen to the old wet blanket, LGM. If this hike weren't easy, I wouldn't have suggested it. It's very simple. Do not take Finn on this trip though. It's no place for a toddler and their is no cell service. But Nev will love it.
  5. I had a friend that took six months and hiked the AT. I would love to do it. I just don't know how I would ever afford to do it. If I left my business for six months, it would take a year to build it back up. So I would need two years of income plus some in the bank before I started that journey.
  6. I've got some info and tips for you. Most don't know it but in a former life I was an avid backpacker. I've got tons of gear in my attic. I think a good beginner back pack trip is the Jack's River Trail in the Cohutta/Big Frog Wilderness. It's still one of my favorite trips. I start out at Dally Gap and hike in approximately four miles. There are three river crossings on the way. Then the next day I do an approximate eight mile round trip day hike to the falls. Then the third day we hike the four miles back out. There's some great camp spots right on the river bank about four miles in from Dal
  7. You know I don't eat tacos.
  8. She knows that. Her group called for a ride to Taco Bell. I should have been specific.
  9. I'm happy to report no one called me.
  10. The smell of cooking collards is one of my greatest pleasures in life. I adore it. It reminds me of my grandparents houses. I love it when I cook something really southern that reminds me of being a kid. There's just nothing better than filling up the house with those aromas. I'll be doing that a lot today. Collards are on (thanks again NC-17), the chicken is cut up and brining in a buttermilk/spice bath so it will fry up nice and juicy, black eyed peas are in the crock pot. There will be mac and cheese and biscuits later. Happy New Year y'all.
  11. J and I are staying home tonight but if any of our friends are out and have too much fun to drive PLEASE call me 770-324-6995 and I will gladly come pick you up. Party Responsibly.
  12. Read backwards. Pubby figured out the report he pulled to get all the names at the beginning of the process was flawed.
  13. Y'all are going to get me in trouble.
  14. The contest was convoluted and hard to follow to begin with. But I never questioned the reasoning or the motivation behind wanting to do it. I think it's great to foster the sense of community. I just wish it had worked better, that's all. Still don't beat yourself up.
  15. I think I saw your post like two days after. No worries, even though I would have loved to have seen you again. I am still flummoxed by this whole game though. I guess those of us who log in invisible weren't counted. I just hope the winner is one of the ones that posted because I had their card. I sent PMs to all of my cards. About 60 of them.
  16. I'm not on the list either . Flawed concept for sure. Although I did attempt to participate. I sent out 60 or so PM's when no one came to see me to get cards. I can't believe they brought me so many but it's all good. One of these 20 or so people that posted their code has a great chance of winning $200 tomorrow. So YAY...
  17. They are on the North side of 278 just East of the new courthouse in Dallas. 278 and Seaboard. They have all kinds of great stuff and I feel certain the big and tall is covered. They do have lots of pro and collegiate wear. Check them out on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Wearhouse-Clothing/113245758709831 The prices can't be beat. I just got a new pair of Banana Republic jeans for $10 last week. I notice on FB they say they just got in a new shipment of NFL hoodies yesterday.
  18. I love casinos. I can sit in front of a one armed bandit for hours and play the same $10. And I have. It would be awesome to have one close by.
  19. Agreed...they can't be everywhere. The use of the report button is appreciated.
  20. I'll take anything you are cool to part with for a while. Thanks. This rocks my world.
  21. The only thing I know is to drink whiskey to sleep. That's what I do. Just get some Jack or Maker's Mark or Jameson and drink it. Lots of it.
  22. I would appreciate that. I will be working on the classics. Do you mind sending what you can spare with Scott? TIA! I bet I will. I bought you a holiday present and I need to deliver it. Thanks, I would love to borrow it. I have picked it up before and may have even owned a copy at one point. I just remember having a hard time getting it started.
  23. Because this is advertising an event conducted by the restaurant. The OP was advertising. The establishment should consider buying a Commerce Membership.
